Abstract

In the 21st century, it is nearly impossible to visualize life and business without the Internet and all the possibilities it provides. The retail environment is becoming more complex every day. The leading cause lies in the evolution of digital technologies and constant changes that dictate companies to innovate at high speed to go side-by-side with their competitors. Digital technologies have changed the way business is being done, and it is of great importance for companies today to react promptly and invest their resources accordingly. Retailers need to adopt digital technologies to fulfill their objectives and to stay ahead of their competitors. The way digital technologies change the retail industry is the right indicator of its impact on the market. In this manner, digital technology is revolutionizing retail and leading the industry to an entirely new dimension. Customer satisfaction and loyalty are the crucial domains for retailers. Therefore, by implementing digital technologies, retailers are creating a bond between themselves and the customers. The retail industry is constantly testing and applying new digital technologies to achieve superior results. With the development of technology in retail, new forms are being expanded in addition to the basic forms of e-commerce.
