Abstract

Umjetnost i kultura dio su svakog naroda neke zemlje, a svoje korijene vuku još iz davne prošlosti. Osim što predstavlja društvene vrijednosti, sektor kulture uvelike doprinosi i gospodarskom razvoju zemlje. Rad je usmjeren prema javnom financiranju kulture i umjetnosti u Republici Hrvatskoj na svim razinama, od državnog proračuna do proračuna lokalnih i područnih (regionalnih) samouprava te izazovima i problemima s kojima se susreću tijekom vremena. Pored toga, zbog ograničenih javnih izvora sredstava, umjetnicima i kulturnim organizacijama sve su više dostupniji i neki od alternativnih načina financiranja kulture i umjetnosti.

Abstract (english)

Art and culture are a part of every nation of some country with roots originate from distant past. In addition to representing social values, the cultural sector has a major impact on the economic development of the country. This paper focuses on public funding of culture and art in the Republic of Croatia, from state budgeting to budgets on local and regional levels as well as the challenges and problems they face over time. In addition, due to limited public budgets, alternative sources of funding culture and the arts are becoming more and more available to artists and cultural organizations.
