Abstract

Umrežavanje je jedan od elemenata interpersonalnih vještina kojim poduzetnici uspostavljaju dobar odnos i uspješnu suradnju s drugima. Predstavlja kontinuirani proces stjecanja privatnih i poslovnih veza i kontakata kojima dobar umreživač razvija svoju komunikacijsku platformu za ostvarivanje ciljeva. Poduzetništvo je gospodarska aktivnost koja se smatra temeljem razvoja boljeg društva i poslovnih modela te izvorom novih ideja, usluga i proizvoda. Prema tradiciji, smatra se muškom aktivnošću, međutim sve se više proučava i istražuju specifičnosti žena u poduzetništvu. Spolna segregacija predstavlja razdvajanje ljudi prema spolu, a u poduzetništvu je većinom usmjerena upravo prema ženama i suzbijanju prepreka u razvoju karijere. Važan faktor je ponašanje poduzetnika koji pokreće spolne razlike u načinu umrežavanja i prikazuje postoje li u trenutku kada oba spola imaju iste uvjete za umrežavanje. Zbog utvrđivanja razlika u vještinama umrežavanja, provedeno je empirijsko istraživanje među poduzetnicima oba spola. U istraživanju su ispitanici procjenjivali kanale umrežavanja prema važnosti za uspjeh poduzetnika, potom su ocjenjivali sklonost općenitim aktivnostima umrežavanja te su iznosili stavove o razlikama u umrežavanju muških i ženskih poduzetnika. Dobivenim rezultatima ustanovljeno je da značajne razlike u umrežavanju između ženskih i muških poduzetnika statistički ne postoje te da oba spola imaju jednako razvijene vještine umrežavanja. Jedina statistička razlika među ispitanicima je utvrđena u kanalu umrežavanja „volonterski rad“ kojeg ženske poduzetnice smatraju važnijim kanalom umrežavanja od muških poduzetnika. Također, prema analizi rezultata, muški poduzetnici u prosjeku više smatraju da su ženske poduzetnice slabije poslovno umrežene od muških poduzetnika.

Abstract (english)

Networking is one of the elements of interpersonal skills with which entrepreneurs establish good relationships and successful cooperation with others. It represents a continuous process of acquiring private and business connections and contacts with which a good networker develops his communication platform to achieve his goals. Entrepreneurship is an economic activity that is considered the basis for the development of a better society and business models, as well as a source of new ideas, services and products. According to tradition, it is considered a male activity, however, the specificities of women in entrepreneurship are increasingly being studied and explored. Gender segregation represents the separation of people according to gender, and in entrepreneurship it is mostly directed towards women and the suppression of obstacles in career development. An important factor is the behavior of the entrepreneur, which triggers gender differences in the way of networking and shows whether they exist at a time when both sexes have the same conditions for networking. In order to determine differences in networking skills, empirical research was conducted among entrepreneurs of both sexes. In the research, respondents evaluated networking channels according to their importance for the success of entrepreneurs, then they evaluated their preference for general networking activities and expressed their views on the differences in networking between male and female entrepreneurs. The obtained results showed that statistically significant differences in networking between female and male entrepreneurs do not exist and that both sexes have equally developed networking skills. The only statistical difference between the respondents was found in the networking channel "volunteer work", which female entrepreneurs consider a more important networking channel than male entrepreneurs. Also, according to the analysis of the results, male entrepreneurs on average believe that female entrepreneurs are less well-connected in business than male entrepreneurs.
