Abstract

Turizam i kultura međusobno su vrlo povezani, a te veze sežu u daleku prošlost. Razvojem i sve većom popularnošću kulturnog turizma, važnost kulture i njezinog utjecaja na turizam još više dolazi do izražaja. Kulturnih turista sve je više, a samim time turističke agencije i turoperatori sve veću pažnju usmjeravaju na formiranje i sastavljanje što boljih, kvalitetnijih i turistima zanimljivijih kulturnih tura kojima će privući što veći broj kulturnih turista. Ovaj rad donosi opće informacije o kulturi i turizmu kao i o njihovoj međusobnoj povezanosti i doprinosu same kulture na razvoj turizma i određene destinacije te o kulturnim turistima koji su važan segment kulturnog turizma. Rad opisuje poslovanje turoperatora specijalista od same definicije do prednosti i nedostataka u njihovom poslovanju kao i kriterije podjele turoperatora. U radu se analiziraju i uspoređuju karakteristike proizvoda turoperatora specijalista za kulturne ture na primjeru dvaju turoperatora - Intrepid Travela i Exodus Travelsa. Navode se sličnosti i razlike u poslovanju ovo dvoje turoperatora te rezultati komparativne analize na temelju karakteristika paket aranžmana.

Abstract (english)

Tourism and culture are closely related to each other, and these connections go back to the distant past. With the development and growing popularity of cultural tourism, the importance of culture and it`s influence on tourism is even more evident. Every year there are more cultural tourists, and as a result, travel agencies and tour operators are focusing more attention on the formation and compilation of better, higher quality and more interesting cultural tours for tourists, which will attract as many cultural tourists as possible. This paper provides general information about culture and tourism, as well as their interrelationship and the contribution of culture itself to the development of tourism and specific destinations, as well as about cultural tourists, who are an important segment of cultural tourism. The paper describes the business of specialist tour operators from the very definition to the advantages and disadvantages of their business, as well as the criteria for the division of tour operators. The paper analyzes and compares the product characteristics of tour operators specializing in cultural tours on the example of two tour operators - Intrepid Travel and Exodus Travels. Similarities and differences in the operations of these two tour operators are stated, as well as the results of a comparative analysis based on the characteristics of package arrangements.
