Abstract

Globalizacija i ubrzani način života stavili su naglasak na efikasnost, jednostavnost i brzinu u distribuciji roba i usluga. Kao odgovor na te zahtjeve, razvile su raznolike suvremene transportne tehnologije. Pritom poseban značaj ima multimodalni transport koji omogućava kombiniranje više različitih transportnih tehnologija poput paletizacije, kontejnerizacije, RO-RO, LO-LO, RO-LO, FO-FO, HUCKEPACK i BIMODALNE tehnologije, a sve s ciljem formiranja optimalnih transportnih lanaca i pružanja što kvalitetnije i ekonomičnije prometne usluge, ali i energetski učinkovitijeg i održivijeg transporta robe i putnika radi smanjenja negativnih utjecaja na okoliš.

Abstract (english)

Globalization and hectic lifestyle have emphasized the importance of efficiency, simplicity, and speed in the distribution of goods and services. In response to these demands, various modern transportation technologies have been developed. Among them, multimodal transport plays a significant role as it enables the combination of multiple transportation modes, such as palletization, containerization, RO-RO (Roll-on/Roll-off), LO-LO (Lift-on/Lift-off), RO-LO (Roll-on/Lift-off), FO-FO (Float-on/Float-off), HUCKEPACK, and BIMODAL technologies. The aim is to create optimal transportation chains and provide high-quality and cost-effective transportation services. as well as to achieve energy-efficient and sustainable transport of goods and passengers to reduce the negative environmental impact.
