Abstract

Kooperativnost, drugim riječima suradnja, u poslovnom je svijetu jako bitna karakteristika. Nedostatak suradnje onemogućuje financijske i nefinancijske institucije u ostvarivanju željenih ciljeva i rezultata. U povijesti su, na temelju suradnje među ljudima, prvotno nastale kooperativne zadruge. Upravo su te zadruge preteča suvremenih kooperativnih banaka. Kooperativno bankarstvo predstavlja jedan segment europskog financijskog sustava. Ono se ne pojavljuje u svim zemljama Europske unije već u samo nekima. Njihov doprinos i značajnost u zemljama u kojima posluju je izražen. Ovaj rad proučava kooperativne banke i njihove temeljne karakteristike koje ih razlikuju od drugih kreditnih institucija na tržištu, regulaciju i modele poslovanja kooperativnih banaka te potencijal njihovog razvoja u Republici Hrvatskoj.

Abstract (english)

Cooperativeness, in other words cooperation, is a very important characteristic in the business world. The lack of cooperation prevents financial and non-financial institutions from achieving the desired goals and results. In history, cooperatives were originally formed on the basis of cooperation between people. These cooperatives are the forerunners of modern cooperative banks. Cooperative banking represents one segment of the European financial system. It does not appear in all the countries of the European Union, but only in some. Their contribution and importance in the countries where they operate is expressed. This paper studies cooperative banks and their fundamental characteristics that distinguish them from other credit institutions on the market, the regulation and business models of cooperative banks and their development potential in the Republic of Croatia.
