Abstract (english) | An agile approach to project management, although it has been around for over two decades, is a newness and a challenge for some companies, and they are sometimes afraid to decide on its implementation. Although the traditional approach, especially the waterfall approach, has become an established practice in companies, it has been shown that it is often not the best solution for project management. More and more often, in practice, it can be seen how easily the preferences and wishes of the end users change, as well as changes in the project implementation environment itself. The agile approach, as its name suggests, has proven to be a more adaptable, faster, and easier way of managing projects when it comes to responding to changes and challenges through the very implementation of the project with, of course, minimal costs. Most often, companies in the IT industry are the first to switch to the agile way, partly because it was conceived as an easier and faster approach to software creation. In this paper, through interviews as the main method of data collection, it was investigated what challenges companies encountered during the transition from a traditional to an agile way. The ways in which they responded to these challenges are also presented, which can be of great help to those companies that are just deciding to transition. As a conclusion to the work itself, the key to successful management of an agile approach is as regular and concrete communication as possible, as well as mutual understanding between developers, managers, and clients. |
