Abstract

Suvremeni poslovni svijet zahtijeva dinamično i učinkovito vođenje organizacija kako bi se ostvario poslovni uspjeh. Organizacijska uspješnost ovisi o sposobnosti vođa organizacije da motiviraju svoje sljedbenike na povećanje produktivnosti i učinkovitosti. Jedan od pristupa vodstva koji se ističe kao iznimno uspješan jest transformacijsko vodstvo, a njegova povezanost s intrinzičnom motivacijom zaposlenika postaje važna tema u istraživanjima koja objašnjavaju pozitivne strane ovog oblika vodstva. Ovim se radom istražuje dublje razumijevanje veze između transformacijskog vodstva i intrinzične motivacije zaposlenika te se proučava kako ta povezanost doprinosi ostvarivanju dugoročnih ciljeva organizacije. Unutar teorijskog okvira transformacijskog vodstva objašnjavaju se osobitosti transformacijskog vodstva te se navode prednosti i nedostaci transformacijskog oblika upravljanja u poslovnom svijetu. Osim toga, definiranjem intrinzične motivacije prikazuju se izazovi u motiviranju zaposlenika i načini intrinzičnog motiviranja u modernom poslovanju. Empirijskim istraživanjem ispituje se povezanost čimbenika transformacijskog vodstva i intrinzične motivacije zaposlenika. Odabrani uzorak čini 112 ispitanika, koji ispunjavanjem anketnog upitnika prepoznaju četiri čimbenika transformacijskog vodstva kod neposredno nadređene osobe. Istodobno, ispitanici procjenjuju razinu motivacije na temelju šest čimbenika intrinzične motivacije. Analizom dobivenih podataka dokazuje se statistička povezanost između transformacijskog vodstva i intrinzične motivacije.

Abstract (english)

The modern business world requires dynamic and efficient leadership of organizations to achieve business success. Organizational performance depends on the ability of organization leaders to motivate their followers to increase productivity and efficiency. One of the approaches to leadership that stands out as extremely successful is transformational leadership and its connection with the intrinsic motivation of employees is becoming an important topic in research that explains the positive aspects of this form of leadership. This paper explores a deeper understanding of the connection between transformational leadership and intrinsic motivation of employees and studies how this connection contributes to the achievement of organization’s long-term goals. Within the theoretical framework of transformational leadership, the specifics of transformational leadership are defined and the advantages and disadvantages of the transformational form of management in the business world are stated. In addition, defining intrinsic motivation shows challenges in motivating employees and ways of intrinsic motivation in modern business. Empirical research examines the connection between transformational leadership factors and intrinsic employee motivation. The selected sample consists of 112 respondents who, by completing a questionnaire, identify the four factors of transformational leadership in their immediate superior. At the same time, respondents evaluate the level of motivation based on six factors of intrinsic motivation. The analysis of the obtained data proves the statistical correlation between transformational leadership and intrinsic motivation.
