Abstract

Otočne destinacije smatraju se posebno atraktivnim za razvoj turizma. Tema otoka postala je jedna od najaktualnijih tema europske kohezijske politike a u regionalnoj politici otočna politika. Za uspješno i učinkovito funkcioniranje otoka, promatranih kao dio regionalne i teritorijalne kohezije, EU fondovima nastoji se smanjiti razlike nastale uslijed geografske udaljenosti, niske stope gospodarskog rasta ili niske stope bruto društvenog proizvoda po stanovniku u odnosu na druga teritorijalna područja. U teorijskoj analizi otočnog poduzetništva i održivog turizma, polazi se od promišljanja proces destinacijskog brendiranja moguće usporediti s procesom korporativnog brendiranja. Cilj je stvoriti krovnu robnu marke. U slučaju kada je destinacija otok, onda to je krovna otočna marka. Na tom putu, javlja se niz problema. Osim problema s odlaganjem otpada, otoci se suočavaju s drugim problemima, koji su tipični za otočni turizam, uključujući dominaciju „sunce i more“, visoku sezonalnost i nedovoljnu iskorištenost smještajnih kapaciteta. Kada se sve to uzme u obzir, svi ti problemi i izazovi dovode u pitanje dugoročnu održivost turizma i ekonomiju otoka koja se uveliko temelji na turizmu. Vidi se da je održivi razvoj prihvaćen kao željena forma turističkog razvoja te često deklarativno implementira bez ulaganja znatnijeg napora. Cilj rada je utvrditi perspektivu otočnog poduzetništva srednjodalmatinskih otoka. Analiza je pokazala da perspektiva otočnog poduzetništva vidi jedino kroz poboljšanje ekološke učinkovitosti poduzeća u turističkoj industriji i nametanje ograničenja rastu turizma (zeleni turizam), razvoj oblika turizma posebnog interesa i razvoj oblika turizma koji imaju nizak utjecaj na okoliš.

Abstract (english)

Island destinations are considered particularly attractive for the development of tourism. The topic of islands has become one of the most topical topics of European cohesion policy and island policy in regional politics. For the successful and efficient functioning of the islands, viewed as part of regional and territorial cohesion, EU funds are used to reduce differences caused by geographical distance, low rate of economic growth, or low rate of gross domestic product per inhabitant compared to other territorial areas. In the theoretical analysis of island entrepreneurship and sustainable tourism, the process of destination branding can be compared to the process of corporate branding. The aim is to create an umbrella brand. In the case when the destination is an island, then it is an umbrella island stamp. Along the way, several problems arise. In addition to the problem of waste disposal, the islands face other problems, which are typical for island tourism, including the dominance of "sun and sea", high seasonality, and underutilization of accommodation capacities. When all this is considered, all these problems and challenges call into question the long-term sustainability of tourism and the island's economy, which is largely based on tourism. It can be seen that sustainable development is accepted as the desired form of tourism development and is often declaratively implemented without investing significant effort. The final paper aims to determine the perspective of the island entrepreneurship of the Central Dalmatian islands. The analysis showed that the perspective of island entrepreneurship sees only through the improvement of the ecological efficiency of companies in the tourism industry and the imposition of restrictions on the growth of tourism (green tourism), the development of forms of tourism of special interest, and the development of forms of tourism that have a low impact on the environment
