Abstract

Održivi razvoj je koncept kojim društvo pokušava pronaći način kako postići ciljeve današnjice bez ugrožavanja mogućnosti budućeg opstanka. Implementacijom okolišnih, društvenih i upravljačkih čimbenika u poslovne procese poduzeća te održavanjem ravnoteže između istih povećava se mogućnost ostvarenja toga cilja. Proces implementacije navedenih kriterija potrebno je prilagoditi karakteristikama pojedinog poduzeća kako bi konačni ishod bio što efikasniji u donošenju pozitivnih rezultata kako poduzeću tako i društvu u cjelini. Cilj rada je predstaviti mogućnosti uvođenja ekoloških, društvenih i ekonomskih kriterija održivog razvoja u poslovne procese poduzeća, uz naglasak na metode koje su se pokazale najuspješnije. Također će se predstaviti izazovi uvođenja ESG kriterija, dok će analiza konkretnog primjera dati detaljan uvid u proces primjene istih izvan teoretskog okvira.

Abstract (english)

Sustainable development is a concept by which society tries to find a way to achieve today's goals without jeopardizing the possibility of future survival. By implementing environmental, social and governance factors into the company's business operations and maintaining a balance between them, the possibility of achieving that goal increases. The process of implementing the mentioned criteria needs to be adapted to the characteristics of the individual company so that the final outcome is as efficient as possible in bringing positive results to both the company and society as a whole. The aim of this paper is to present the possibilities of introducing ecological, social and economic criteria of sustainable development into the business operations of companies, with an emphasis on the methods that have proven to be the most successful. The challenges of implementing ESG criteria will also be presented, while the analysis of a concrete example will provide a detailed insight into the process of applying them outside the theoretical framework.
