Abstract

Tema diplomskog rada je analiziranje i obrada prvog cilja održivog razvoja: svijet bez siromaštva. Rad je usmjeren na prvi od ukupno sedamnaest ciljeva kojeg su donijele države članice Ujedinjenih naroda 2015. godine u Programu održivog razvoja do 2030. pomoću kojih se vodi briga o ravnoteži gospodarske, društvene i okolišne dimenzije održivog razvoja. Siromaštvo je trajan i globalan problem koji je vidljiv na svjetskoj razini i to je više od nedostatka prihoda i resursa za održivo življenje i prisutno je u svim društvima bez obzira na njihovu razvijenost. Stoga će se u ovom radu analizirati stanje, strategije i prioritetna područja djelovanja problema siromaštva na globalnoj razini, u Europskoj uniji i u Republici Hrvatskoj kako bi okončali siromaštvo i nejednakost i zaštitili planet.

Abstract (english)

The subject of this diploma thesis is the analysis and examination of the first Sustainable Development Goal: a world without poverty. The focus of the paper is on the first of the seventeen goals adopted by the United Nations member states in 2015 as part of the Sustainable Development Agenda 2030, aimed at balancing the economic, social and environmental dimensions of
sustainable development. Poverty is a persistent and global issue, evident across the world, extendig beyond more lack of income and resources for sustainable living. It affects all societies, regardless of their level of development. Consequently, this paper will explore the state, strategies, and priority areas of action to address poverty at the global level, within the European Union, and in the Republic of Croatia, with the goal of ending poverty and inequality while protecting the planet.
