Abstract

Termin „razlike u plaćama po spolu“ označava razliku u iznosu bruto plaća između muškaraca i žena. Iznos koji se gleda u usporedbama je onaj iznos koji samom radniku piše u ugovoru koji se sklapa između radnika i poslodavca. Statistike pokazuju kako su žene na radnim mjestima potplaćene u odnosu na muške kolege koji obavljaju isti opseg poslova. Diskriminacija u plaćama prisutna je u svim djelatnostima na tržištu, pa tako i u dijelu financijskih institucija. Banke kao najvažnije financijske institucije i kao pokretači cijele ekonomije zanimljiv su primjer potplaćenosti žena kao svojih djelatnika. Kako bi se smanjile razlike u plaćama i omogućila potpuna transparentnost i pristup informacijama prilikom zapošljavanja, Europska Unija donijela je Regulativu o transparentnosti plaća koja će biti obavezna za sve poslovne subjekte do 2026. godine. Ovaj diplomski rad bavi se analizom razlika u plaćama po spolu u financijskom sektoru u odabranim zemljama Europske Unije. Također, obraditi će se i analiza prilagodbe Direktivi od strane Erste Grupe u Hrvatskoj, koja u ovoj analizi obuhvaća Erste&Steiermärkische Bank d.d., Erste&Steiermärkische S-Leasing d.o.o. te Erste Card Club d.o.o. Analizirati će se kretanje razlika plaća po spolu i metodologija koja se koristi za postizanje transparentnosti i izjednačavanje plaća na razini cijele Grupe kako bi se zadovoljila regulativa „The EU Pay Transparency Directive and the Pay Transparency“.

Abstract (english)

The term "gender pay gaps" refers to the difference in gross wages between men and women. The amount that is considered in the comparisons is the amount that is written to the worker himself in the contract concluded between the worker and the employer. Statistics show that women in workplaces are underpaid compared to male colleagues who perform the same scope of work. Wage discrimination is present in all activities on the market, including some financial institutions. Banks, as the most important financial institutions and drivers of the entire economy, are an interesting example of the underpayment of women as employees. In order to reduce the differences in salaries and enable full transparency and access to information during employment, the European Union adopted the Regulation on salary transparency, which will be mandatory for all business entities until 2026. This graduate thesis deals with the analysis of wage differences by gender in the financial sector in selected countries of the European Union. Also, thesis is focused on the analysis of the adaptation to the Directive by the Erste Group Croatia, which in this analysis includes Erste&Steiermärkische Bank d.d., Erste&Steiermärkische S-Leasing d.o.o. and Erste Card Club d.o.o. The trend of the gender pay gap and the methodology used to achieve transparency and pay equalization at the level of the entire Group will be analyzed in order to meet the regulation "The EU Pay Transparency Directive and the Pay Transparency".
