Abstract (english) | In banking operations, cash transportation is one of the most important processes that a bank must manage. The risks involved in cash transport are very serious, as they can pose great danger to the bank itself, its employees, the employees of the transport company, and the cash being transported. In the first part of the paper, the logistics of banking operations were analyzed, including the logistical tasks within the bank, how cash transportation is handled, the various participants involved in the cash transport process, and their roles. The second part of the paper examined the risks that exist in the cash transportation process. The steps necessary for managing these risks were discussed, which include: identifying risks, where the main task is to pinpoint all potential threats that could jeopardize the cash transport process; followed by assessing those risks, which involves a thorough analysis of all identified risks to determine their potential impact on the cash transport process. After identifying and assessing the risks, the next step is to implement controls to mitigate these risks. This section analyzed how and which controls can be utilized. Significant attention was given to the establishment of the cash transport process, primarily how the bank recognizes the need for a transport company, as some banks perform this process independently. Once this need is detected, the selection of a service provider follows, which involves considering various aspects that the bank should review during the selection process, as well as the establishment of the entire operation. Setting up cash transport requires careful planning to ensure maximum efficiency of the process. Naturally, once the process is established, it must be monitored to prevent any adverse events. Finally, research was conducted by asking bank employees about the details of all procedures discussed and analyzed throughout the paper. |
