Abstract

U ovome radu se istražuju demografske karakteristike stanovništva Republike Hrvatske
promatrajući podatke iz popisa stanovništva 2001., 2011. i 2021. godine. Analiza je usredotočena
na one podatke koji su u konstantnom padu kao što su: starenje stanovništva, mortalitet i natalitet,
i smanjenje višečlanih obitelji. Ovaj rad također istražuje učinke iseljavanja, posebno nakon ulaska
Hrvatske u Europsku uniju 2013. godine, koje je pridonijelo gubitku stanovništva i izazovima na
tržištu rada. Istaknute su promjene u obiteljskoj strukturi, kao što je porast samačkih kućanstava.
Analizirajući i uspoređujući podatke tijekom zadnja dva desetljeća od 2001. do 2021. godine ovaj
završni rad daje uvid u razvoj demografske strukture Republike Hrvatske te dugoročne implikacije
na društveni i gospodarski razvoj.

Abstract (english)

In this thesis, the demographic characteristics of the population of the Republic of Croatia are
analized by observing the data from 2001, 2011 and 2021 censuses. The analysis is focused on
those data that are in constant decline, such as: population aging, mortality and birth rates, and the
reduction of multi-member families. This thesis also explores the effects of emigration, especially
after Croatia's entry into the European Union in 2013, which contributed to population loss and
labor market challenges. Changes in the family structure were highlighted, such as the increase in
single households. Analyzing and comparing data during the last two decades from 2001 to 2021,
this thesis provides insight into the development of the demographic structure of the Republic of
Croatia and its long-term implications for social and economic development.
