Abstract

Osim ukupnog stanovništva Hrvatske, kao posljedica demografskog starenja stare i različiti funkcionalni dobni kontingenti, što je posebno značajno za gospodarski razvoj Republike Hrvatske. Broj mladih ljudi koji ulaze u radno sposobno stanovništvo, broj ljudi koji napuštaju radno sposobno stanovništvo i stupanj aktivnosti i mladog i starijeg stanovništva odražavaju ekonomske implikacije starenja stanovništva. Proces demografskog starenja produbljuje nerazmjer između umirovljenika i ekonomski aktivnog stanovništva, povećavajući troškove mirovina, zdravstvene zaštite, socijalnih usluga i drugih transfera starijoj populaciji. Zbog toga postoji velika vjerojatnost da će javna potrošnja nastaviti rasti. Stoga je razumno pretpostaviti da demografsko starenje negativno utječe na makroekonomske pokazatelje i gospodarski rast. Predmet rada je utjecaj starenja stanovništva na gospodarstvo Hrvatske. Cilj završnog rada je istražiti, analizirati i prikazati utjecaj demografskog starenja stanovništva na gospodarstvo Republike Hrvatske s fokusom na tržište rada, javne prihode i rashode i mirovinski sustav.

Abstract (english)

In addition to the overall population of Croatia, various functional age contingents are also aging as a result of the demographic aging process, which is particularly significant for the Republic of Croatia's economic development. The volume of young people entering the working-age population, the volume of people leaving the working-age population, and the degree of activity of both the young and the old population all reflect the economic implications of population aging. The demographic aging process exacerbates the disparity between the retired and the economically active population, increasing the cost of pensions, healthcare, social services, and other transfer payments to the elderly population. As a result, there is a high likelihood that public spending will continue to rise. Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that demographic aging hurts macroeconomic indicators and economic growth. The subject of the bachelor thesis is the impact of population aging on the Croatian economy. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to investigate, analyze and present the impact of the demographic aging of the population on the economy of the Republic of Croatia with a focus on the labor market, public revenues and expenditures and the pension system.
