Abstract

Ovaj diplomski rad analizira poslovanje hotela nakon pandemije COVID-19, s posebnim naglaskom na promjene u poslovnim strategijama, prilagodbi operativnih procesa i utjecaju na financijske rezultate. Pandemija je značajno uzdrmala turizam, prisiljavajući hotele na hitnu prilagodbu novim uvjetima i izazovima. Rad istražuje ključne aspekte ove prilagodbe, uključujući primjenu novih higijenskih standarda, implementaciju digitalnih rješenja za kontakt s gostima, te promjene u marketinškim strategijama. Analizom slučajeva otkriva se kako su se uspješni hoteli prilagodili i kako su implementirane strategije utjecale na njihovu otpornost i konkurentnost na tržištu. Kroz temeljitu analizu vanjskog i unutarnjeg okruženja poduzeća, financijskih izvještaja i financijskih pokazatelja prije i nakon pandemije Covid-19, cilj je razumjeti kako je pandemija utjecala na ključne aspekte poslovanja Arena Hospitality Group, odnosno na njegovu profitabilnost i konkurentnost na tržištu. Posebna pažnja posvećena je usporedbi financijskih rezultata prije i nakon pandemije, kao i evaluaciji dugoročnih posljedica koje će oblikovati budućnost hotelske industrije. Ovaj rad pruža uvid u ključne trendove i preporuke za buduće strategije u cilju osiguravanja dugoročne održivosti i uspješnosti u postpandemijskom okruženju.

Abstract (english)

This graduate thesis analyzes hotel operations after the COVID-19 pandemic, with a special emphasis on changes in business strategies, adaptation of operational processes and the impact on financial results. The pandemic has significantly shaken tourism, forcing hotels to urgently adapt to new conditions and challenges. The paper explores key aspects of this adaptation, including the application of new hygiene standards, the implementation of digital guest contact solutions, and changes in marketing strategies. Case analysis reveals how successful hotels have adapted and how the implemented strategies have influenced their resilience and competitiveness in the market. Through a thorough analysis of the company's external and internal environment, financial statements and financial indicators before and after the Covid19 pandemic, the goal is to understand how the pandemic affected the key aspects of Arena Hospitality Group's business, i.e. its profitability and competitiveness in the market. Special attention is paid to the comparison of financial results before and after the pandemic, as well as to the evaluation of the long-term consequences that will shape the future of the hotel industry. This paper provides insight into key trends and recommendations for future strategies aimed at ensuring long-term sustainability and success in a post-pandemic environment.
