Abstract

Iako često zanemarivan, pojam sljedbeništva postaje ključan čimbenik na koji se menadžeri trebaju fokusirati kako bi poboljšali rad organizacije. Upravo iz tog razloga potrebno je detaljnije analizirati sljedbenike i sljedbeničke stilove te njihovo zadovoljstvo poslom koje može doprinijeti poboljšanju organizacijske izvedbe. U teorijskom dijelu rada navedeni su osnovni pojmovi nužni za razumijevanje sljedbeništva, sljedbeničkih stilova i zadovoljstva poslom. Empirijsko istraživanje analizira vezu između sljedbeničkih stilova i zadovoljstva poslom. Rezultati istraživanja sugeriraju da će uzorni sljedbenici vjerojatnije doživjeti više razine zadovoljstva poslom u odnosu na pragmatičare, konformiste, otuđene i pasivne sljedbenike. U praksi takvi nalazi mogu dovesti do toga da zaposlenici uzornog sljedbeničkog stila imaju bolji radni učinak te veći doprinos u postizanju ciljeva organizacije.

Abstract (english)

Although often overlooked, the concept of followership is becoming a key factor that managers should focus on in order to improve the organization’s work. Precisely for this reason, it is necessary to more thoroughly analyze followers and followership styles, as well as their job satisfaction, which can help improve organizational performance. The paper’s section dealing with theory lists the basic concepts necessary for understanding followership, followership styles and job satisfaction. The empirical research analyzes the relationship between followership styles and job satisfaction. The research results suggest that exemplary followers are more likely to experience higher levels of job satisfaction than pragmatists, conformists, alienated and passive followers. In practice, such findings can lead to the exemplary followership style employees’ better work performance and greater contribution to the achievement of the organization's goals.
