Abstract

Lika kao najveće ruralno područje u Republici Hrvatskoj se oslanja na poljoprivredu kao njezinu
glavnu gospodarsku djelatnost. Međutim, postoje problemi kao što su negativni demografski
trendovi, zastarjela i neadekvatna infrastruktura te geografska dislociranost koji koče njezin razvoj.
Pregledom literature u kojoj se obrađuje problematika ruralnog razvoja utvrđena su stajališta autora
kako su potrebne određene inovacije u dosadašnjim modelima poslovanja.
Jednu takvu inovaciju predstavljaju kratki opskrbni lanci, koji postaju sve relevantnijima u
područjima kao što je Lika. Nakon što su teorijskome dijelu rada obrađeni pojmovi lanaca opskrbe,
kratkih lanaca opskrbe i elemenata lanaca opskrbe pomoću opisne metode uslijedila je detaljna
analiza obilježja kratkih lanaca opskrbe pomoću metode indukcije, dedukcije te analize i sinteze s
ciljem prepoznavanja značajki istih.
Nakon što su definirane prednosti i mane kratkih opskrbnih lanaca, s ciljem stjecanja uvida u
njihov stvarni utjecaj na proizvođače hrane s područja Like provedeno je anketno istraživanja u
kojem su sudjelovali vlasnici poljoprivrednih gospodarstva pretežno s područja Like. Rad se
zaključuje opažanjima kako poljoprivrednici nastoje izgraditi kratke opskrbne lance i otporne
prehrambene mreže, ne bi li postali konkurentniji na tržištu.

Abstract (english)

As the largest rural area in the Republic of Croatia, Lika relies on agriculture as its main
economic activity. However, there are problems such as negative demographic trends, outdated
and inadequate infrastructure and geographical dislocation that hinder its development. A review
of the literature dealing with the issue of rural development revealed the author's views that
certain innovations are needed in the existing business models.
One such innovation is represented by short supply chains, which are becoming more and more
relevant in areas such as Lika. After the concepts of supply chains, short supply chains and
elements of supply chains were treated in the theoretical part of the paper using the descriptive
method, a detailed analysis of the characteristics of short supply chains follo. wed using the method
of induction, deduction, analysis and synthesis with the aim of identifying their features.
After the advantages and disadvantages of short supply chains were defined, with the aim of
gaining insight into their real impact on food producers from the Lika area, a survey was conducted
in which the owners of agricultural holdings, mainly from the Lika area, participated. The paper
concludes with observations of how farmers strive to build short supply chains and resilient food
networks in order to become more competitive on the market.
