Abstract

Umjetna inteligencija postaje sve značajniji element svakodnevnog života s primjenom u različitim sektorima uključujući i cestovni promet. Zahvaljujući svojoj sposobnosti oponašanja ljudskih aktivnosti poput zaključivanja, učenja, planiranja i kreativnosti, umjetna inteligencija značajno doprinosi razvoju inovativnih rješenja u transportnoj industriji. Temeljna tehnologija na kojoj počiva umjetna inteligencija su umjetne neuronske mreže inspirirane strukturom ljudskog mozga. Ovaj rad proučava povijest i razvoj umjetne inteligencije kao i njezinu ulogu u cestovnom prometu. Poseban naglasak stavljen je na analizu njezine dosadašnje primjene u raznim tehnologijama, od senzora i sustava za praćenje vozila, do naprednih sustava autonomne vožnje. Istražuje se utjecaj navedenih tehnologija na povećanje učinkovitosti, sigurnosti i kvalitete usluga u prometnoj industriji, kao i na poboljšanje radnih uvjeta i produktivnosti zaposlenika. Cilj ovog rada je prikazati kako umjetna inteligencija djeluje, istražiti načine na koje poboljšava i unaprjeđuje cestovni promet te kroz analizu provedenih istraživanja i mišljenja stručnjaka predvidjeti njezin budući utjecaj na razvoj novih tehnologija u ovoj industriji.

Abstract (english)

Artificial intelligence is becoming an increasingly important part of everyday life, with applications across various sectors, including road transport. Thanks to its ability to mimic human activities like reasoning, learning, planning, and creativity, artificial intelligence plays a key role in developing innovative solutions within the transport industry. At the core of artificial intelligence technologies are artificial neural networks, which are modeled on the structure of the human brain. This thesis the history and development of artificial intelligence, along with its role in road transport. The focus is on analyzing how AI has been applied so far in different technologies, ranging from sensors and vehicle tracking systems to advanced autonomous driving systems. It looks at how these technologies impact efficiency, safety, and service quality in the transport industry, as well as how they improve working conditions and employee productivity. The aim of this thesis is to explain how AI works, explore the ways it enhances and improves road transport, and, through the analysis of existing research and expert opinions, predict its future impact on the development of new technologies in the industry.
