Abstract

Belišće se često naziva „gradom papira“ zbog tvrtke Duropack Belišće d.o.o., nekadašnjeg Kombinata d.d. Belišće, s dugom tradicijom te vrlo uspješnim poslovanjem. Ova lokalna sredina se također nerijetko naziva i „gradom sporta“, prvenstveno zbog mnogobrojnih svjetskih, europskih i državnih rezultata sportaša i klubova ovog grada.
Grad Belišće se nalazi u Osječko-baranjskoj županiji, a prema popisu stanovništva 2011.godine imao je 10 825 stanovnika. Stanovništvo je pretežito zaposleno u sekundarnom sektoru. Infrastruktura je dobro izgrađena, dok u gradu postoji bogata sportska okolina, odnosno sportska infrastruktura.
Sport i sportska industrija danas predstavljaju visokoprofitnu i brzorastuću djelatnost. U razvijenim zemljama sportom i rekreacijom se bavi više od 40% stanovništva, a njegova popularnost će samo još više rasti. Grad Belišće, koristeći svoje interne sposobnosti – ljudski kapital i dobro izgrađenu sportsku infrastrukturu i prepoznajući eksterne prilike, kao što je masovnost sporta i sportske rekreacije ima priliku prijeći iz gubitnika u pobjednike, gledano iz perspektive lokalnog ekonomskog razvoja ove sredine. Pozitivni učinci koji se putem sporta i sportske rekreacije mogu ostvariti dijelimo na društvene i ekonomske učinke. U Belišću su dobro ostvareni društveni učinci, dok se ekonomskim učincima posvećuje vrlo malo pažnje.
Program lokalnog ekonomskog razvoja u Belišću vrlo malo posvećuje pažnje sportu, o razvoju sporta i sportskih organizacija brine Zajednica športskih udruga Grada Belišća. Lokalni ekonomski razvoj Belišća i sport ne bi smjeli biti odvojena područja već se upravo preko sporta i sportskih organizacija ova mala lokalna sredina treba razvijati.

Abstract (english)

Belišće is often called „The Paper City“ because of the company Duropack Belišće d.o.o., former known as Kombinat d.d. Belišće, with its very long tradition and its very successful management. This local area is also often called „The Sports City“, primary because of many of the world, european and national results of its sportsmen and sportsclubs of this city.
The city Belišće is located in Osječko-baranjska county, and following the census of 2011, it had 10 825 residents. The inhabitants are mostly employed in the second sector. The infrastructure is well expanded, while in the city, there is a well expanded sports area or sports infrastructure.
Today, sports and sports industries represent a high-profit and fast growing industry. In developed countries, more than 40% of the inhabitants are interested in sports and recreation, and its popularity will even grow more. The city Belišće, uses its intern competences – like human competences, expanded sports infrastucture – and also recognizes extern opportunities - like the masses of sports and sports recreation – so it has the chance to turn from a low developed to a high developed city. Positive influences of sports and sports recreation can be devided in social and economic influences. In Belišće, the social aspects are very well realized, while the economic aspects are neglecated.
The program about local economic development in Belišće cares very less about sports, while the „Zajednica sportskih udruga Grada Belišća“ is responcible for the extention of sports and organizations for sports. The local economic extention of Belišće and sports should not be seperated departments, because this small local area should progress by sports and sports oranizations.
