Abstract

Nordijske zemlje se smatraju pretečama u kreiranju prijateljskih obiteljskih politika, a u isto vrijeme su uspjele zadržati visoku stopu participacije žena u radnoj snazi bez smanjenja fertiliteta na niske razine što je karakteristično za mnoge druge europske zemlje. U radu će biti opisan razvoj obiteljskih politika u nordijskim zemljama i najvažnijih mjera obiteljskih politika. Nadalje, u radu će biti prikazane karakteristike obiteljskog života u nordijskim zemljama i na samom kraju rada će biti prikazano kakav je utjecaj obiteljskih politika na fertilitet i participaciju žena na tržištu rada.

Abstract (english)

The Nordic countries are considered forerunners in the creation of family friendly policies and at the same time have been able to maintain a high rate of participation of women in the workforce without reducing fertility to low levels which is typical of many other European countries. This paper will describe the development of family policy in the Nordic countries and the most important measures of family policy. Furthermore, the paper will be presented the characteristics of family life in the Nordic countries and at the end of the work will be shown the impact of family policies on fertility and women's participation in the labor market.
