Abstract
Važnost dobro odabranih i kvalitetnih selekcijskih procesa prepoznata je u poslovnoj praksi suvremenih organizacija te je poznato da kvalitetan selekcijski proces predstavlja konkurentsku prednost u današnje vrijeme. Predmet istraživanja diplomskog rada je cjelovit selekcijski proces, od početne faze selekcijskog procesa pa do detaljne analize selekcijskih metoda i tehnika koje se najčešće koriste u suvremenom poslovanju. Analiziraju se faze, modeli i metrijska obilježja selekcijskih metoda. Prikazana je selekcijska praksa u svijetu, na primjeru SAD-a, Velike Britanije i Europe. U radu je dan pregled najvažnijih selekcijskih metoda i tehnika, njihova obilježja, primjeri, prednosti i nedostaci. Prikazan je selekcijski proces na primjeru suvremene organizacije PricewaterhouseCoopers d.o.o. koja ima kvalitetan selekcijski proces. Također, kroz istraživanje došlo se do mišljenja i stavova zaposlenika navedene organizacije o selekcijskom procesu kojeg su prošli zapošljavajući se upravo tamo.

The importance of well-chosen and quality selection process has been recognized in the practice of business in modern organizations with the regard that a quality selection process is a kind of competitive advantage today. The research topic of this master thesis is the full selection process, from the beginning phase to selection process and the detailed analysis of selection methods and techniques which are commonly used in the modern business. It analyses the stages, models and metric features of the selection methods. The world’s selection practice is shown, using USA, Great Britain and Europe as examples. The thesis presents an overview of the main selection methods and techniques, their characteristics, examples, advantages and disadvantages. PricewaterhouseCoopers Ltd. is used as an example of modern organization which has a quality selection process. Also, the research gathered employees’ opinions and attitudes about the selection process in PricewaterhouseCoopers Ltd. which they passed when being hired there.
