Abstract

U uvjetima visoke financijske euroizacije gospodarstvo je izloženo valutnom i valutno
induciranom kreditnom riziku u slučaju deprecijacije domaće valute, a zbog održavanja
stabilnost tečaja monetarna politika gubi važan instrument ispravljanja eksternih neravnoteža
pri čemu se smanjuje njen manevarski prostor te mogućnost poticanja razvoja gospodarstva.
Radom se analiziraju teoretske pretpostavke financijske euroizacije i njena evolucija u svijetu,
a s posebnim naglaskom na Hrvatsku. Financijska euroizacija ukorijenjena je u hrvatskom
gospodarstvu od samostalnosti države, a izlaganjem i analizom mjera deeuroizacije nastoje se
izdvojiti one mjere kojima bi se moglo utjecati na smanjenje stupnja financijske euroizacije u
Hrvatskoj.

Abstract (english)

High degrees of financial euroisation expose an economy to high currency and currencyinduced
credit risk in case of large depreciations and therefore the conduct of monetary policy
is centred upon maintaining exchange rate stability which narrows its manoeuvring room and
ability to foster economic growth. This paper analyses the theoretical assumptions of financial
euroisation and its evolution across the world, whereby specially emphasising the case of
Croatia. Financial euroisation has been deeply rooted in the Croatian economy since its
independence and this paper attempts to present and analyse deeeuoisaiton measures that
could effectively reduce the degree of financial euroisation in Croatia.
