Abstract

Osnovni cilj rada je ukazati na opasnosti i potencijalno negativne učinke mrežnih napada kojima je osnovna svrha ugrožavanje pojedinaca i poduzeća, te društva i gospodarstva u cjelini. Naglasak rada je na analizi i objašnjavanju mrežnih napada, razlozima zbog kojih dolazi do takvih napada te osnovnih vrsta napada. Također, naglasak je i na analizi i objašnjavanju osnovnih metoda zaštite osobnih podataka i podataka poduzeća. Rezultati provedenog empirijskog istraživanja upućuju kako većina ispitanika svoje svakodnevno vrijeme provodi spajajući se na Internet i to više puta dnevno. Većina ispitanika članovi su neke od društvenih mreža poput Facebooka i Twittera. Rezultati istraživanja upućuju na nedovoljno razvijenu svijest o mrežnoj sigurnosti mladih u Hrvatskoj, što se može zaključiti temeljem podatka kako je gotovo polovica ispitanika s nekim drugim podijelilo svoje korisničko ime i lozinku.

Abstract (english)

The main aim of the paper is to point out the dangers and potential negative effects of network attacks with the primary purpose of jeopardizing individuals and companies, as well as society and the economy in general. The accent of the paper is on the analysis and explanation of network attacks, the reasons for which such attacks occur and types of attacks. Also, the emphasis is on the analysis and explanation of the basic protection methods of personal and company data. The results of empirical studies indicate that most of the respondents spend their daily time connecting to the Internet, a few times a day. Most of the respondents are members of some of the social networks like Facebook and Twitter. The research results indicate low network security awareness of young people in Croatia, which can be explained by the fact that almost half of respondents had shared their username and password with someone else.
