Abstract

Brodograđevna industrija predstavlja strateški važnu industriju za Republiku Hrvatsku. Zbog kompleksnosti broda kao finalnog proizvoda brodogradnja za sobom povlači i druge industrije. Hrvatska je nekad igrala veliku ulogu na međunarodnom tržištu no danas je njezina uloga neznatna. Međutim, zahvaljujući tradiciji hrvatska brodogradilišta i dalje imaju prepoznatljiv imidž te su na tržištu prepoznata kao brodogradilišta specijalizirana za izradu i remont jedinstvenih brodova. Utjecaj brodogradnje na gospodarstvo Republike Hrvatske je nemjerljiv iako se vremenom mjenjao te bilježio svoje uspone i padove. Također hrvatska brodogradilišta imaju veliki utjecaj na lokalnu zajednicu, stanovništvo te okoliš. Unatoč tradiciji i prepoznatljivosti ona su danas jednim velikim dijelom ovisna o izravnoj pomoći države koja je mnogo puta u bliskoj povijesti sanirala financijske poteškoće u kojima su se našla brodogradilišta. Ta pomoć predstavlja veliki teret javnim financijama Republike Hrvatske te su u budućem razdoblju nužni koraci i strategija za uspješan oporavak industrije. Nužno je donijeti pravilne odluke koje će omogućiti ponovni uspon brodogradnje te profitabilnost gdje neće biti na teret državi.

Abstract (english)

The shipbuilding industry is strategically important industry for Republic of Croatia. Due to the complexity of the ship as the final product shipbuilding entails and other industries. Croatia once played a big role in the international market but today its role is insignificant. However, thanks to the tradition, croatian shipyards still have a recognizable image and are recognized on the market as a shipyards specialized in the production and repair of unique ships. Impact of shipbuilding industry is immeasurable to croatian economy and over time it changed and recorded its ups and downs. Also Croatian shipyards have a major impact on the local community, population and environment. Despite the tradition and recognition they are now dependent on direct government assistance that has many times in recent history restored financial difficulties in which they find shipyards. This aid represents a burden on public finances and it’s necessary in the future to make steps and strategies for successful recovery of industry. It is necessary to make the correct decisions that will allow the re-emergence of shipbuilding and profitability which will not be at the expense of the state.
