Abstract

Tema diplomskog rada „Financiranje potreba predškolskog obrazovanja i učinci na zaposlenost žena“ je uključenost djece u programe predškolskog odgoja i obrazovanja, financiranje programa predškolskog odgoja te razvijenost i kvaliteta institucija koje pružaju ovaj oblik odgoja i obrazovanja. Najveće bogatstvo svake države su njeni budući naraštaji, djeca. Zbog
toga predškolsko obrazovanje predstavlja jedan od početnih, ali i najbitnijih oblika ulaganja u ljudski kapital, a investiranje u obrazovanje postalo je bitan čimbenik u povećanju rasta i prosperiteta svakog gospodarstva. Obrazovanje u ranom djetinjstvu predstavlja snažno sredstvo osobnog i socijalnog razvoja, aktivno potiče potencijal djeteta i preduvjet je uspjeha u budućem
školovanju. Hrvatska načelno omogućuje besplatan sustav obrazovanja, međutim, zbog decentralizacije financiranja nekih njegovih komponenti, dostupnost i troškovi obrazovanja različiti su u različitim dijelovima Hrvatske, odnosno gradovi i općine izdvajaju iz svojih proračuna sredstva za osiguranje skrbi o djeci. Diplomski rad posebice proučava povezanost
dostupnosti usluga i ravnomjeran pristup skrbi za djecu u poticanju značajnijeg zapošljavanja žena.

Abstract (english)

The thesis "Financing the needs of preschool education and impact on women employment"
deals with the involvement of children in preschool programs, financing the needs of preschool
programs and the development and quality of institutions providing this form of education. The
greatest wealth of each country is its future generations, children. Therefore, preschool
education is one of the initial but also the most important forms of investment in human capital,
and investment in education has become an important factor in increasing the growth and
prosperity of each economy. Early childhood education is a powerful tool for personal and
social development, actively enhances the child's potential and is a precondition for success in
future schooling. Generally, Croatia has a free education system, however, due to the
decentralization of funding for some of its components, the availability and costs of education
are different in different parts of Croatia, means that cities and municipalities allocate funds for
child care from their budgets. The thesis examines precisely the connection between the
availability of preschool services and a balanced approach to child care in promoting more
significant employment for women.
