Abstract

Iako su žene većina u svjetskoj populaciji, one su u području poduzetništva manjina. Najviše zbog ekonomskog, socijalnog i političkog nepovoljnog položaja u odnosu na muškarce. Razlike na tržištu rada i u poduzetništvu jako su povezane s nejednakim mogućnostima za obrazovanje i usavršavanje, što se dalje odražava na izbor zanimanja i mogućnost napredovanja. Činjenica je da među ženama ima manje poduzetnika nego među muškarcima, no u hrvatskom gospodarstvu bilježi se sve veća zastupljenost žena, što je vrlo pozitivna tendencija. Osnovna problematika za značajniju zastupljenost žena u poduzetništvu možemo naći u velikom nepovjerenju prema ženama općenito, tradicionalnim predrasudama, sociološkim stavovima i nedorečenost u zakonima kojima bi se mogao unaprijediti razvoj poduzetništva. Ovaj rad je usmjeren na prepreke s kojima se susreću žene prilikom osnivanja poduzeća, i na prikaz njihovog potencijala i mogućnosti u ekonomskom, odnosno poduzetničkom svijetu.

Abstract (english)

Although women are the majority in the world population, they are in the area of minority entrepreneurship. Mostly because of the economic, social and political disadvantage of men. Differences in the labour market and in entrepreneurship are strongly linked to unequal opportunities for education and training, which is further reflected in the choice of occupation and the possibility of promotion. The fact is that there are fewer entrepreneurs among women than among men, but in the Croatian economy, there is a growing representation of women, which is a very positive tendency. The main issues for more significant representation of women in entrepreneurship can be found in great distrust of women in general, traditional prejudices, sociological attitudes and ambiguities in the laws that could enhance the development of entrepreneurship. This paper focuses on the obstacles women face when starting a business, and on showing their potential and opportunities in the economic and / or entrepreneurial world.
