Abstract

Cjelovito upravljanje i održivi razvoj predstavljaju jedan od najvećih izazova hrvatskog turizma. Rastući broj turista koji pristižu u turističke destinacije dovodi do niza negativnih posljedica za lokalno stanovništvo ali i same turiste. Stoga je od ključne važnosti shvatiti značaj cjelovitog upravljanja i koncept održivog razvoja kojim se postiže ravnoteža potreba današnjeg stanovništva i očuvanja resursa za buduće generacije, te se također postiže maksimalna iskorištenost potencijala turističkog razvoja Hrvatske. Cilj ovog diplomskog rada je analizirati proces cjelovitog upravljanja razvojem turizma Republike Hrvatske. Analiza razvoja turizma u Hrvatskoj potvrdila je njegove pozitivne učinke, prvenstveno u povećanju BDP-a, međutim ukazala je i na negativne učinke, koji se najprije održavaju na okoliš a zatim i na lokalno stanovništvo te ukazala na područja manjkavosti u sustavu cjelovitog upravljanja turizmom.

Abstract (english)

Holistic management and sustainable development represent one of the biggest challenges of Croatian tourism. The rising number of tourists visiting Croatia also leads to some negative consequences for both the locals and the tourists. That is why it is of great importance to understand the contribution of holistic management and the concept of sustainable development to the balance of the needs of today's population and the preservation of resources for the future generations, while aiming to maximize the potential of Croatia's tourism development. The aim of this graduate thesis is to analyze the process of holistic management of development of Croatia's tourism. The analysis of development of tourism in Croatia has confirmed its positive effects, primarily the growth of GDP, but it has also showed areas of deficiency in the system of tourism management and its negative effects on the environment and local population.
