Abstract

Glavni cilj ovoga rada je objasniti i prikazati dematerijalizaciju kao novi trend u gospodarstvu, temeljen na očuvanju okoliša i omogućavanju daljnjeg gospodarskog rasta uz racionalno korištenje prirodnih resursa kao rješenje u razvoju zelenog gospodarstva. Dematerijalizacija gospodarstva podrazumijeva smanjenje upotrebe prirodnih resursa po jedinici proizvedenih proizvoda ili usluga. Dematerijalizacijom je potrebno obuhvatiti povećanja životnog vijeka proizvoda i usluga, te ponovno iskorištavanje i recikliranje otpadnih proizvoda uz korištenje materijala koji se lako mogu ponovno upotrijebiti. Kako bi dematerijalizacija zaista postala rješenje zelenog gospodarstva potrebno je uključivanje inovacija, razvoja novih tehnologija i digitalne transformacije, prije svega robotike, umjetne inteligencije, 3D tiska i sl., te upotrebe održivih materijala i ne manje važno, razvoja digitalne kulture i zaposlenika. U ovom radu, uz detaljno objašnjenje dematerijalizacije u teoriji, prikazan je primjer dematerijalizacije putem digitalne transformacije na primjeru inovativnog digitalnog rješenja od strane francuske firme Qarnot computing, čiji primjer digitalne transformacije snažno podupire dematerijalizaciju gospodarstva iz razloga što smanjuje ugljični otisak od računalnih aktivnosti između 70% i 75%, te smanjuje troškove održavanja i potrošnje energije obzirom da omogućava grijanje prostora i vode. Usmjeravanjem gospodarskog razvoja na put održivog razvoja, sadašnji materijalni tokovi trebali bi biti apsolutno smanjeni za otprilike polovicu na globalnoj razini, dok bi se produktivnost prirodnih resursa morala iznimno povećati, što je iznimno zahtjevan cilj. Koncept dematerijalizacije pruža ekološki osigurač za dugoročni gospodarski razvoj, te kao takav može doprinijeti zelenom gospodarstvu, a time i ostvarenju navedenog cilja održivog razvoja.

Abstract (english)

The main goal of this graduate thesis is to explain and present dematerialization as a new trend in the economy, based on preserving the environment and enabling further economic growth with the rational use of natural resources as a solution in the development of a green economy. Dematerialization of the economy implies a reduction in the use of natural resources per unit of produced products or services. Dematerialisation needs to include increases in the life of products and services, the reuse and recycling of product waste with the use of easily reusable materials. In order for dematerialization to truly become a solution for the green economy, it's necessary to include innovation, development of new technologies and digital transformation, primarily robotics, artificial intelligence, 3D printing etc. Also, it's important to use sustainable materials and enable the development of digital culture and employees.. In addition to the above, this thesis presents an example of dematerialization through digital transformation on the example of an innovative digital solution by the French company Qarnot computing, whose example of digital transformation strongly supports the dematerialization of the economy by reducing the carbon footprint of computer activities between 70% and 75%. The digital solution reduces maintenance and energy costs by enabling space and water heating. By focusing economic development on the path of sustainable development, current material flows should be reduced by approximately half globally, while the productivity of natural resources should be significantly increased, which is an extremely demanding goal. The concept of dematerialization provides an ecological safeguard for long-term economic development, as such, it can contribute to the green economy and thus to the achievement of the stated goal of sustainable development.
