Abstract

Biciklistički prijevoz, iako postoji već dugi niz godina, tek nedavno dobiva na važnosti uslijed porasta broja stanovnika u većini gradova te potrebe za održivijim oblikom prijevoza, ali i izbjegavanjem problema oko pronalaska parkirališnog mjesta. Na porast korisnika bicikla, posljednjih godina, utjecalo je i promoviranje prednosti fizičke tjelovježbe koja se ostvaruje upotrebom bicikla te razvoja svijesti o održivim transportnim sredstvima i smanjenju negativnog utjecaja na okoliš te novčane uštede u odnosu na ostale vrste kategorije prometnih sredstava. Razvoj sustava javnih bicikala omogućio je korisnicima da zadovolje navedene potrebe na fleksibilan način. Takav sustav ne nameće se nužno kao isključiv način transporta već je izrazito kompatibilan sa ostalim transportnim kategorijama. Sustav javnih bicikala nema dugu povijest u Republici Hrvatskoj, već se ovo tržište tek razvija. Za daljnji razvoj istoga potrebna su i značajna ulaganja u proširenje postojeće mreže biciklističkih staza. Sve su to izazovi za razvoj tržišta sustava javnih bicikala što tu prometnu kategoriju čini vrlo zanimljivom i dinamičnom. Na temelju rezultata provedenog istraživanja zadovoljstva korisnika trenutno dostupnim uslugama sustava javnih bicikala na području Republike Hrvatske moguće je zaključiti kako postoji zadovoljstvo zbog uvođenja sustava javnih bicikala. Međutim korisnici su nezadovoljni razvijenošću mreže sustava te biciklističkom infrastrukturom u kojoj sustav djeluje.

Abstract (english)

Cycling as a mean of transportation, although exists for a long time, just recently started to gain importance due to the increase of population living in the cities, the need for sustainable means of transportation and the problematics of parking. Rise in the number of bicycle users has also been impacted by promotion of physical activity while cycling, change in perception on sustainable means of transportation and the decrease of negative impacts to environment and financial savings in comparison to other means of transportation. The development of bike sharing systems enabled the users to satisfy the above-mentioned needs in a flexible manner. This type of system does not impose itself as a competition to the existing public transport systems but rather as a supplement. Bike sharing systems do not have a long history in Croatia, as these markets are starting to develop. Further development requires significant investments in development of existing bike lanes. These are all challenges the market is facing which makes this mean of transport interesting and dynamic. Based on the results of the conducted research on customer satisfaction with bike sharing services in Croatia, one may conclude that there is a level of satisfaction with implementation of bike sharing systems. However, users are not satisfied with the network development and the bicycle infrastructure in which the network operates.
