Abstract

U svijetu punom podjela i rastuće tehnologije sve je uobičajenije slušati o etiketama poput dobitnici i gubitnici, bogati i siromašni, razvijeni i nerazvijeni kao i brojne druge. U povijesti su te podjele najčešće bile označavane stranama svijeta primjerice sjever i jug. Danas dijelimo svijet na zapad i istok. No jednom započetim procesom globalizacije se približava pristup svakom kutu svijeta i sve većoj mobilnosti kako ljudi, tako i kapitala. Predmet istraživanja u ovom radu je konvergencija u Solow-Swann modelu s tehnologijom i njezin učinak na gospodarstvo SAD-a. Konvergencija je približavanje zajedničkoj razini životnog standarda zemalja u dugom vremenskom roku. Glavni cilj rada je prikazati karakteristike konvergencijskog djelovanja na gospodarstvu SAD-a.

Abstract (english)

In the world full of division and rapid growth of technology, it is more common to use etiquettes such as winners and losers, rich and poor, developed and underdeveloped and many others. In history those divisions were created by dividing the world into north and south. Today we divide the world into west and the east. Once it started, globalisation process took its part by expanding into every corner of the world and greater mobility of people and capital flows. Subject of this research in this thesis is convergence in the Solow-Swann model with technology and its effect on the USA economy. Convergence is approaching near the same level of the living standard between countries in the long term. The main aim of the thesis is to show the characteristics of the convergency effect on the USA economy.
