Abstract

To explore the topic, this paper first starts with the introduction where it states the objective of the paper, sources of data and methodology used, and the structure of the paper. The most concerning unhealthy behaviors that leave significant economic consequences are obesity, smoking and alcoholism, and this paper starts by analyzing the food and drink industry in the EU, followed by the analysis of tobacco and finally industry of alcohol. The paper next examines the health risks and economic consequences of three unhealthy behaviors: obesity, smoking and alcoholism and lastly it focuses on socioeconomic status and its relation to the unhealthy behaviors. The paper ends with conclusion that holds the summary of the paper and the final remarks.

Abstract (croatian)

Da bi se istražila tema, ovaj rad prvo započinje uvodom u kojem se navodi cilj rada, izvori podataka i korištena metodologija te struktura rada. Najviše zabrinjavajuća nezdrava ponašanja koja ostavljaju značajne ekonomske posljedice su pretilost, pušenje i alkoholizam, a ovaj rad započinje analizom prehrambene industrije i industrije pića u EU, nakon čega slijedi analiza duhanske i konačno alkoholne industrije. Sljedeći rad istražuje zdravstvene rizike i ekonomske posljedice triju nezdravih ponašanja: pretilosti, pušenja i alkoholizma, a na kraju se usredotočuje na socioekonomski status i njegov odnos prema nezdravom ponašanju. Rad završava zaključkom koji sadrži sažetak rada i završne napomene.
