| Abstract | Morske luke čine strateški dio infrastrukture u svakoj obalnoj zemlji, naročito u današnjem svijetu u kojem se globalizacija i međunarodna trgovačka razmjena razvijaju velikom brzinom. Potreba za prijevozom sve veće količine proizvoda i roba da bi se zadovoljila potražnja sve integriranijih, ali još uvijek udaljenih tržišta, te potreba za iznalaženjem rentabilnih alternativnih rješenja za zakrčene autoceste, dovodi pomorski transport, a time i luke u samo središte interesa. Riječka luka najveća je luka na Jadranu i najvažnija luka Republike Hrvatske. Riječki prometni pravac je kopneno-pomorski pravac Hrvatske. Njezina osnovna namjena je obavljanje lučkih djelatnosti: ukrcaja, iskrcaja, prekrcaja, skladištenja, prenošenja generalnog tereta, drva, rasutih i tekućih tereta, stoke, banana, agruma i ostalog voća, pšenice, soje i ostalih žitarica. Pozicionirana u središnjem dijelu Jadrana, između Splita i Dubrovnika, Luka Ploče jedna je od glavnih strateških hrvatskih luka. Izvrsna prometna povezanost te povoljna geostrateška pozicija na čvorištu važnih industrijskih puteva čine je nezaobilaznom poveznicom Jadrana, Mediterana i srednje Europe. Razvoj i povećanje prometa luka se temelji na strateškim dokumentima koje je donijela Vlada Republike Hrvatske. Razvojni projekti putem modernizacije strateških lučkih objekata imaju za cilj proizvesti direktne gospodarske učinke i indirektno doprinijeti razvoju društvene zajednice i okoline u cijelosti. Kroz povećanje teretnog prometa, te privlačenje visokotarifnih tereta u lukama želi se stvoriti okvir kako bi se postigla samoodrživost lučkog sustava i smanjenje udjela sredstava Državnog proračuna RH za sufinanciranje podgradnje u lukama od osobitoga gospodarskog interesa za Republiku Hrvatska. |
| Abstract (english) | Seaports are a strategic part of the infrastructure in every coastal country, especially in today’s world where globalization and international trade are evolving at a rapid pace. The need to transport increasing quantities of products and goods to meet the demand of increasingly integrated, but still distant markets, and the need to find cost-effective alternatives to congested motorways, brings maritime transport, and thus ports, to the very center of interest. The Port of Rijeka is the largest port on the Adriatic and the most important port of the Republic of Croatia. Rijeka's traffic route is the land-sea route of Croatia. Its main purpose is to perform port activities: loading, unloading, transhipment, storage, transfer of general cargo, wood, bulk and liquid cargo, livestock, bananas, citrus fruits and other fruits, wheat, soybeans and other grains. The Port of Ploče, positioned in the central part of the Adriatic, between Split and Dubrovnik, is one of the main strategic Croatian ports. Excellent transport connections and a favorable geostrategic position, at the junction of important industrial roads, make it an unavoidable link between the Adriatic, the Mediterranean and Central Europe. The development and increase of port traffic is based on strategic documents adopted by the Government of the Republic of Croatia. Development projects through the modernization of strategic port facilities aim to produce direct economic effects and indirectly to contribute to the development of the community and the environment. Through increasing cargo traffic and attracting high-tariff cargo in ports, a framework could be created to achieve self-sustainability of the port system and reduce the share of the State Budget to co-finance substructure in ports of special economic interest to the Republic of Croatia. |
