Abstract

Bolest COVID-19 obilježila je 2020. godinu uzrokovavši pandemiju kakva se nije dogodila u više od sto godina. Svijet nije bio spreman na pandemiju ovakvih razmjera koja je utjecala na svaki dio ljudskog života. Stvorila je mnoštvo problema od zdravstvenih do ekonomskih. Puno ljudi je preminulo, a kako bi smanjile daljnje posljedice virusa države diljem svijeta su uvele različite restriktivne mjere. Kao rezultat tih mjera moguće da je spriječeno daljnji gubitak života, no zato su posljedice najviše osjećala poduzeća od kojih su mnoga morala zatvoriti ili prilagoditi svoje poslovanje. Brojna poduzeća su morala zaustaviti svoju proizvodnju zbog poremećaja u svojim opskrbnim lancima kako na lokalnog tako na globalnoj razini. Najviše problema se dogodilo u siječnju kada se dogodio „lockdown“ u Kini, koja je praktički postala „tvornica“ svijeta jer mnogim poduzećima u svijetu opskrbni lanac upravo tamo počinje. Neka poduzeća su improvizirala pa su našli alternativne dobavljače, dok su druga čekala daljnji razvoj situacije. Zbog iznimne važnosti protoka robe u svijetu, situacija s opsrkbnim lancima se stabilizirala, no neke posljedice su ipak ostale. Cilj ovog rada je istražiti posljedice COVID-19 na opskrbne lance i na svijet općenito te pomoću intervjua i sekundarnih podataka pokazati utjecaj pandemije na poduzeću koje posluje u Hrvatskoj.

Abstract (english)

COVID-19 marked 2020, causing a pandemic that has not occurred in more than a hundred years. The world was not ready for a pandemic of this magnitude that affected every part of human life. It has created a multitude of problems from health to economic. A lot of people have died, and in order to reduce the further consequences of the virus, countries around the world have introduced various restrictive measures. As a result of these measures, further loss of life was prevented, but the consequences were most felt by companies, many of which had to close or adjust their businesses. A number of companies have had to stop their production due to disruptions in their supply chains, both locally and globally. The biggest problems happened in January when there was a "lockdown" in China, which has practically become the "factory" of the world due to the fact that most companies' supply chains in the world start there. Some companies improvised so they found alternative suppliers, while others waited for the situation to develop further. Due to the extreme importance of the flow of goods in the world, the situation with supply chains has stabilized, but some consequences have remained. This paper aims to investigate the consequences of COVID-19 on the supply chains and the world in general and by using interviews and secondary data to show the impact of the pandemic on a company operating in Croatia.
