Abstract

U ovom diplomskom radu analizira se utjecaj nacionalnih kultura i njezinih karakteristika na inovativnost zemalja. Istraživanje je fokusirano na zemlje Europske unije. Mnogi znanstvenici istraživali su nacionalne kulture te ih dijelili u razne skupine i dimenzije. Najpoznatiji je nizozemski profesor, psiholog, istraživač i znanstvenik Geert Hofstede i njegov 6D model nacionalne kulture. Hofstede je za gotovo svaku državu svijeta odredio karakteristike kulture prema svom modelu. Uspoređujući te podatke sa podacima Globalnog inovacijskog indeksa (vodeće svjetske reference za mjerenje inovacijskog učinka gospodarstva), može se uočiti utjecaj koji karakteristike nacionalnih kultura imaju na indeks inovativnosti.

Abstract (english)

This thesis analyzes the impact of national cultures and their characteristics on the innovation of countries. The analysis is focused on the countries of the European Union. Many scholars have researched national cultures and divided them into various groups and dimensions. The most famous is a Dutch professor, psychologist, researcher and scientist Geert Hofstede who came up with the 6D model of national culture. Based on this model, Hofstede determined the cultural characteristics of almost every country in the world. By comparing these data with the Global Innovation Index data (the world's leading reference for measuring economic innovation performance), one can see the impact of national culture characteristics on the innovation index.
