Abstract

Informacijska tehnologija je u današnje vrijeme toliko uznapredovala da nudi sve više mogućnosti za razne analize nad podacima koji se neprestano stvaraju u okolini. Iako postoje brojna nagađanja, nije moguće sa sigurnošću potvrditi količinu podataka koja postoji. Svaka organizacija teži uspjehu, a za uspješno poslovanje neophodno je znati i razumjeti što se događa oko nas. Upravo navedenom koriste nam podaci, a da bi podatke mogli razumjeti potrebne su nam detaljne analize. Cilj ovog rada je pobliže upoznati tehnologije poslovne inteligencije, ali i analizirati alate poslovne inteligencije kako bi se ispitale mogućnosti korištenja na jednostavnijem primjeru. Osim teorijskog djela prikaza tehnologija poslovne inteligencije, za ispitivanje načina korištenja alata detaljno se analiziraju i prikazuju Power Pivot (dodatak Excelu) i Power BI (alat razvijen od strane Microsofta upravo kao alat poslovne inteligencije).

Abstract (english)

Information technology is so advanced nowadays that it offers more and more possibilities for various analyzes of data that is constantly being created in the company’s environment. Although there is a lot of speculation, it is not possible to confirm, with certainty, the amount of data that actually exists. Every organization strives for success, and for a successful business it’s necessary to know and understand what is happening around it. This is exactly what the data is used for, and in order to be able to understand the data, we need detailed analyzes. The aim of this paper is to get acquainted with business intelligence technologies, but also to analyze business intelligence tools in order to examine the possibilities of use on a simpler example. In addition to the theoretical part of the presentation of business intelligence technologies, the Power Pivot add-in to Excel and the Power BI tool developed by Microsoft (precisely as a business intelligence tool) are analyzed and presented in detail to examine how the tools are used.
