Abstract

Logistika je pojam koji ljudsku civilizaciju prati od početka njezina razvoja. Korijene pronalazi u vojnoj terminologiji i činjenici da se razvila iz opskrbnog lanca vojske i njezina praćenja potreba i zaliha vlastitih dislociranih vojnika. Logistika je iz jednog područja vrlo brzo, a posebice razvojem ekonomije i industrije svoju primjenu pronašla i u mnogim drugim sferama ljudskog djelovanja. Danas, nezamjenjiva je komponenta svakog poslovnog procesa te bilježi značajan napredak. Uvođenje informacijskih sustava u logističke procese jedna je od najznačajnijih oblika napretka. Neizbježan je i nezamjenjiv u suvremenom poslovanju logističkih poduzeća zbog svih koristi koje donosi, a očituju se u ubrzavanju procesa i značajnoj efikasnosti. DPD Croatia poduzeće je koje djeluje kako na hrvatskom tako i na globalnom tržištu logističkih usluga te unutar svog poslovanja posjeduje kvalitetan informacijski logistički sustav koji mu osigurava opstanak, ali i napredak na suvremenom tržištu. Stoga je cilj ovog rada, osim teorijskog prikaza pojma logistike i njemu srodnih pojmova, i empirijski prikazati, na primjeru konkretnog poduzeća, implementaciju i primjenu informacijskog logističkog sustava.

Abstract (english)

Logistics is a term that has accompanied human civilization since its inception. It finds its roots in military terminology and the fact that it developed from the army’s supply chain and its monitoring of the needs and supplies of its own dislocated soldiers. Logistics grew from one area to another very quickly, and especially with the development of the economy and industry, found its application in many other spheres of human activity. In today’s world, it is an indispensable component of every business process and has made significant progress. The introduction of information systems in logistics processes is one of the most significant forms of progress. It is inevitable and irreplaceable in the modern business of logistics companies because of all the benefits it brings, and they are manifested in the acceleration of the production process and significant efficiency. DPD Croatia is a company that operates in both the Croatian and global logistics services market and within its business has implemented a quality information logistics system that ensures its survival, but also progress in the modern market. Therefore, the aim of this paper, in addition to a theoretical presentation of the concept of logistics and related terms, is to empirically present, on the example of a specific company, the implementation and application of information logistics system.
