Abstract

Cilj ovog rada je ponajprije teoretski objasniti ponudu novca, počevši od njezinih odrednica, a zatim prelazeći na obuhvat i mjere ponude novca. Isti su pobliže objašnjeni na primjeru Republike Hrvatske te su prikazana i njihova kretanja u određenim vremenskim razdobljima. U istraživanju su korišteni klasični sekundarni izvori podataka, kao što su stručne knjige, smjernice i radovi poznatih ekonomskih stručnjaka. Nakon teoretskog pregleda, cilj je regresijskom analizom prikazati utjecaj odrednica ponude novca na njezine promjene. Zaključak rada jest da je proučavanje ponude novca od velikog značenja, iz razloga što ona šalje signale o tome kakva su monetarna kretanja, a da na kretanje ponude novca podjednako važan utjecaj imaju središnja banka, ostali bankarski sektor, ali i stanovništvo.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this paper is to theoretically present the money supply, its determinants and empirical measures. The latter are explained more detailed in the example of Croatia, and their movements are shown in certain periods of time. In the research are used classical secondary data sources, such as scientific books, papers and guidelines of known economic experts. After the theoretical review, the aim is to show, through regression analysis, the impact of money supply determinants on its movements. The conclusion of the paper is that the observation of money supply is very significant, because it shows trends of monetary policy. The conclusion is also that central bank, banking sector and population have strong impact on money supply.
