Abstract

Cilj diplomskog rada je istražiti prisutnost ekonomije dijeljenja u Hrvatskoj te kako ona utječe na sam razvoj turizma. Pojam ekonomije dijeljenja uvelike se veže za korištenje platformi kao što su Uber i Airbnb koje služe za privremeno iznajmljivanje i korištenje prijevoznih sredstava i smještaja, a ključni su faktor svake turističke ponude. Rad započinje s uvodnim informacijama o ekonomiji dijeljenja i što ona obuhvaća. Zatim se kratko opisuje razvoj ekonomije dijeljenja u svijetu i Hrvatskoj (većinom kroz primjer Ubera i Airbnb-a). Obrada teme uglavnom se oslanjala na podatke od poduzeća koja služe kao platforma za ponudu prijevoza (Uber Hrvatska, Bolt Hrvatska) te platformi za ponudu smještaja (Airbnb) i nekih sekundarnih izvora. Također, provedena je anketa među domaćim i stranim turistima kao analiza potražnje, te među domaćim stanovništvom koje je zaposleno u jednom od navedenih poduzeća kao analiza ponude. Istraživanje se također provodi kroz intervjuiranje domaćih radnika te korištenje sekundarnih izvora za usporedbu. Potom će se, osim pozitivnih strana, provesti i analiziranje negativnih eksternalija (više cijene smještaja, povećana potrošnja goriva i zagađenje), te će se odgovoriti na pitanje postoji li potreba za regulacijom. Na kraju će se donesti zaključak na temelju svih prethodnih informacija donosi li ekonomija dijeljenja uopće neke ekonomske benefite u kratkom i dugom roku.

Abstract (english)

The goal of this thesis is to research the presence of sharing economy in Croatia and how it affects the development of tourism, as the term sharing economy is closely tied to using platforms such as Uber and Airbnb which are used for temporary renting and using various forms of transportation and accommodation which plays a key factor in any tourist supply. The thesis starts with an introduction to sharing economy and what the term includes, then there is a summary of the development of the sharing economy in the world and in Croatia (mostly through the examples of Uber and Airbnb). The core of the thesis mostly relies on information from the companies that provide platforms for transportation (Uber Croatia, Bolt Croatia) and platforms for offering accommodation (Airbnb) and some secondary sources. Furthermore, a poll was conducted among local and foreign tourists in order to analize the demand side, and among local platform workers in order to analize the supply side. The research was also conducted using interviews with local workers and secondary sources for comparison. Afterwards, besides the positive sides, the thesis will also analize negative externalities (higher rent prices, more fuel usage and pollution) and if there is a need for regulation. At the end of the thesis a conclusion will be made based on all the data if the sharing economy brings and economic benefit in the short and long term.
