Abstract

U današnje vrijeme maloprodaja i trgovina općenito su na vrhuncu svog razvoja te predstavljaju jedan od najvažnijih pokretača nacionalnog gospodarstva. Maloprodaja je vrlo dinamična grana trgovine koja se neprestano mijenja pa je stoga važno kontinuirano praćenje trendova koji se javljaju i razvijaju. Internacionalizacija je jedan od najizraženijih trendova u maloprodaji koji se značajno ubrzava od 1980-ih do danas. Suvremena tehnologija, razvoj znanosti i tehnološka dostignuća omogućuju svladavanje prostornih i vremenskih barijera koje su u prošlosti bile prepreke globalnim tokovima robe. Prodavačima je pružena mogućnost prodavanja svojih proizvoda kupcima u svakom dijelu svijeta, pa se oni tako okreću novim tržištima, onima na kojima imaju mogućnost rasta. Interakcije i međuovisnosti koje su nastale između sudionika na globalnom tržištu nepovratno su globalno povezale svijet. Države i pojedinci ne mogu opstati kao izolirani otoci već su snažno povezani jedni s drugima te tako suvremeni svijet zaista oblikuju u globalno selo. Zbog toga u ovom se radu analiziraju trendovi internacionalizacije maloprodaje u proteklom desetljeću.

Abstract (english)

Nowadays, retail and distributive trade are generally at the peak of their development and represent one of the most important drivers of the economy. Retail is a very dynamic branch of trade that is constantly changing, so it is important to continuously monitor trends that occur and develop. Internationalization is certainly one of the most pronounced trends in retail, accelerating significantly from the 1980s to the present day. Modern technology, the development of science and technological advances make it possible to overcome spatial and temporal barriers that have in the past been obstacles to global flows of goods. Sellers are given the opportunity to sell their products to customers in any part of the world, so they are turning to new markets, those where they have the opportunity to grow. Interactions and interdependencies that have emerged between global market participants have irreversibly connected the world globally. States and individuals cannot survive as isolated islands, but they are strongly connected to each other and on that way they shape the modern world into a global village indeed. This is why this paper analyzes the trends of retail internationalization int he past decade.
