Abstract

Načini financiranja poduzeća su brojni, od tradicionalnog financiranja bankovnim kreditima
do inicijalne javne ponude. No, u posljednje vrijeme sukladno razvoju tehnologije i
inovacijama javljaju se i alternative kao što su inicijalna ponuda digitalnih valuta i ponuda
sigurnosnih tokena. Ciljevi rada su identificirati prednosti i nedostatke ponude sigurnosnih
tokena u odnosu na slične alternativne načine financiranja poduzeća, analizirati zastupljenost
ponuda sigurnosnih tokena u svijetu i Republici Hrvatskoj i procijeniti njihov budući razvoj
te istražiti upoznatost studentske populacije s ponudom sigurnosnih tokena. U radu se
analizira cjelokupni proces te razlozi zbog kojih se poduzeća odlučuju na prikupljanje
novčanih sredstava putem ponude sigurnosnih tokena. Za potrebe istraživanja provedena je
anketa o upoznatosti studentske populacije s ponudom sigurnosnih tokena. Dodatno je
proveden strukturirani intervju sa čelnikom izabranog poduzeća kako bi se identificirale
prednosti i nedostaci ponude sigurnosnih tokena u odnosu na slične alternativne načine
financiranja poduzeća. Rezultati provedene ankete ukazuju na slabu upoznatost studentske
populacije s ovim novim, inovativnim načinom financiranja, dok provedeni strukturirani
intervju ukazuje na atraktivnost, ali ujedno i kompleksnost ovog načina financiranja.

Abstract (english)

There are many ways to finance a company, from traditional financing with bank loans to
the initial public offering. But recently, in line with the development of technology and
innovation, alternatives such as the initial token offering and the security token offering have
also emerged. The goals of the paper are to identify the advantages and disadvantages of
security token offering in relation to similar alternative ways of financing companies,
analyze the representation of security token offerings in the world and the Republic of
Croatia and assess their future development, explore the familiarity of the student population
with the security token offerings. The thesis analyzes the entire process and the reasons why
companies decides to raise funds through the security token offering. For the purposes of the
research, a survey is conducted on the familiarity of the student population with the security
token offerings. A structured interview with the head of the selected company is conducted
to identify the advantages and disadvantages of security token offering over similar
alternative ways of financing companies. The results of the survey indicate lack of
knowledge of the student population with this new, innovative way of financing, while the
conducted structured interview indicates the attractiveness, but also the complexity of this
method of raising capital.
