Abstract

Tema ovog diplomskog rada bazira se na široj analizi međunarodne razmjene putem obrade CAGE okvira i praćenja relevantnih trendova i događanja u području međunarodne trgovine. Još od povijesti, čovječanstvo teži međusobnom povezivanju, bržoj razmjeni informacija, ostvarenju trgovinske razmjene i nesmetanom putovanju bilo u privatne ili poslovne svrhe. S razvitkom globalnog gospodarstva, svijet se uistinu počeo sve više povezivati te ta događanja danas nazivamo globalizacijom. Globalizacija je probudila težnju za istraživanjem udaljenijih, širih i različitijih tržišta. CAGE okvir predstavlja alat kojim se analizira i procjenjuje „stvarna“ udaljenost zemalja jednih od drugih. Ovakva vrsta analize pruža širu sliku uključujući, osim fizičke udaljenosti, druge komponente kako bi se dobio podatak o sličnosti ili različitosti zemalja jedne od drugih te time pomogao kod odabira tržišta tijekom širenja međunarodnog poslovanja. Udaljenosti koje CAGE okvir uključuje u svoju analizu su kulturna, administrativna, geografska i ekonomska udaljenost. Kao primjer iz prakse, napravljeno je istraživanje u kojem se uspoređuju podaci između međunarodne razmjene zemalja članica skupine G7 i podataka o njihovoj udaljenosti prema CAGE okviru. Tijekom ovog rada predstavit će se i nekoliko trendova međunarodne trgovine koji će potaknuti razmišljanja o naglim i nepredvidivim utjecajima koji mogu poremetiti međunarodno poslovanje, samoj budućnosti globalizacije te potaknuti razmatranje o pojmu regionalizacije odnosno povratku na ostvarenje međunarodne razmjene sa zemljama koje su bliže i sličnije području na kojem se razmjena i poslovanje odvijaju.

Abstract (english)

The topic of this thesis is based on a broader analysis of international exchange by processing the CAGE framework and monitoring relevant trends and events in the field of international trade. Ever since history, humanity has strived for interconnection, faster exchange of information, the realization of trade and unhindered travel for either private or business purposes. With the development of the global economy, the world has indeed begun to connect more and more, and today we call these events globalization. Globalization has awakened a desire to explore more distant, wider and diverse markets. The CAGE distance framework is a tool that analyzes and estimates the "real" distance of countries from each other. This type of analysis provides a broader picture including, in addition to physical distance, other components to obtain information on the similarities or differences of countries from each other and thus help in selecting markets during the expansion of international business. The distances that the CAGE distance framework includes in its analysis are cultural, administrative, geographical and economic distances. The research done in favor of this thesis compares the data between the international exchange of the group of developed G7 countries and the data on their distance according to the CAGE framework. During this paper, several trends in international trade will be presented, which will encourage thinking about sudden and unpredictable impacts that may disrupt international business, the future of globalization and encourage consideration of the concept of regionalization or return to international trade with countries closer and more similar where exchange and business take place.
