Abstract

Zadnjih nekoliko godina interes i želja za istraživanjem emocionalne inteligencije i njezine važnosti porasla je. Sve više ljudi shvaća važnost i utjecaj emocionalne inteligencije na život i sve sfere života, te se zbog toga sve više pažnje pridaje takvim istraživanjima. Vodstvo je više emotivan nego kognitivan proces što se može vidjeti kroz motiviranje zaposlenika jer je ono više na razini emocionalnog angažmana nego nekih logičkih i kognitivnih procesa u osobi. Neki autori navode kako je transformacijsko vodstvo proces u kojem se vođe i „sljedbenici“ uključuju u zajednički proces u kojem jedni druge podižu na višu razinu motivacije i morala, a prvi korak u transformacijskom vodstvu je razumijevanje vlastite emocionalne inteligencije i potreba drugih. Transformacijsko vodstvo poznato je i kao emocionalno vodstvo. To je razlog zašto su vođe s visokom razinom emocionalne inteligencije učinkovitiji u utjecaju i motiviranju svojih zaposlenika, a samim time i zaposlenici su zadovoljniji i efikasniji. Ove vještine posebno su važne za trenere zbog prirode opisa njihovog posla te odnosa s drugim ljudima. Povezanost emocionalne inteligencije i transformacijskog vodstva odnosno vodstva kao cjeline možda se ne vidi na prvu, ali je itekako prisutna što će se u ovom radu i prikazati. Na temelju rezultata provedenog istraživanja na bazi anketnog upitnika može se reći kako povezanost između emocionalne inteligencije i transformacijskog vodstva postoji te je iznimno važna za trenere i sportsku industriju

Abstract (english)

In the last few years, the interest and desire to research emotional intelligence and its importance has increased. More and more people understand the importance and impact of emotional intelligence on life and all spheres of life, and because of this, more and more attention is being paid to such research. Leadership is more an emotional than a cognitive process, which can be seen through motivating employees because it is more at the level of emotional engagement than some logical and cognitive processes in a person. Some authors state that it is a process of transformational leadership in which leaders and "followers" are involved in a joint process in which they raise each other's level of motivation and moral, and the first step in transformational leadership is understanding one's own emotional intelligence and the needs of others.
Transformational leadership is also known as emotional leadership. This is the reason why leaders with a high degree of emotional intelligence are more effective in influencing and motivating their employees, and at the same time, employees are more satisfied and efficient. These skills are especially important for coaches because of the nature of their work and their relationships with other people. The connection between emotional intelligence and transformational leadership, or leadership as a whole, may not be visible at first, but it is very present, which will be shown in this paper.Based on the results of the research conducted on the basis of the questionnaire, it can be said that there is a connection between emotional intelligence and transformational leadership, and it is extremely important for coaches and the sports industry.
