Abstract

Globalna potražnja za vodom i energijom nastavit će se značajno povećavati u nadolazećim desetljećima kako bi se zadovoljile potrebe rastućeg stanovništva, rastućih gospodarstava, mijenjanja stilova života i obrazaca potrošnje. To će povećati pritisak na oskudne prirodne resurse i ekosustave koji su ionako pod pritiskom klimatskih promjena. Dostupnost i napredak tehnoloških procesa obvezuju na razvoj metodologije planiranja i projektiranja kako bi se identificirala i implementirala najodrživija rješenja unutar okvira zelene ekonomije. Cilj rada je ukazati na važnost upotrebe otpadnih voda kao resursa za dobivanje energije. Istražiti moguće rješenje za izbjegavanje problema uzrokovanih nedostatkom energije te zaštite i očuvanja prirodnih resursa koji se konvencionalnim metodama eksploatiraju i uništavaju okoliš. Prikazati da proizvodnja energije suvremenim metodama za pročišćivanje otpadnih voda znatno utječe na smanjenje potrošnje energije te na povećanu proizvodnju iste, što doprinosi ekološkoj i ekonomskoj održivosti postupka pročišćavanja otpadnih voda.

Abstract (english)

Global demand for water and energy will continue to increase significantly in the coming decades because of growing populations, economies, changing lifestyles and consumption patterns. This will increase the pressure on scarce natural resources and ecosystems that are already under the pressure of climate change. Progress of technological processes obliges the development of planning and design methodology in order to identify and implement the most sustainable solutions within the framework of the green economy. The goal of this work is to point out the importance of using wastewater as a resource for energy recovery. Investigate a possible solution to avoid the problems caused by the lack of energy and the protection and preservation of natural resources that are exploited by conventional methods. Energy production using modern methods for wastewater treatment has a significant impact on the reduction of energy consumption and increase energy production, which contributes to the ecological and economic sustainability of the wastewater treatment process.
