Abstract

Dolaskom 21. stoljeća te intenziviranjem procesa globalizacije svijet postaje globalno tržište bez klasičnih barijera za ostvarivanje slobodne trgovine robama i uslugama. Globalizacija je omogućila ubrzani razvoj gospodarstva te integraciju razvijenih s manje razvijenim ekonomijama. Globalizacijski trendovi zahvatili su cijeli svijet i nije moguće u njima ne sudjelovati. Neke zemlje uspjele su iskoristiti potencijal, koji je pružila globalizacija, za rast i razvoj gospodarstva. Jedna od tih zemalja je i Kina koja je, provedbom ekonomskih reformi i otvaranjem gospodarstva, postala ekonomija sa vodećim rezultatima posljednjih nekoliko desetljeća. Kina se danas nametnula kao globalna ekonomska supersila koja utječe na kretanje globalnih tokova roba i usluga. U kratkom roku, postala je drugo po veličini gospodarstvo svijeta te vodeći izvoznik po vrijednosti dobara i usluga. Ovakav enormni rast kineske ekonomije i tržišta povukao je za sobom i određene probleme. Naime, kao trgovački partner velikog broja zemalja, stvorila se prevelika ovisnost istih o gospodarskoj aktivnosti Kine pa se taj problem manifestirao i na globalnoj razini. Usporavanje gospodarstva Kine u kontekstu usporavanja trgovine i prekograničnih ulaganja može imati značajan utjecaj na globalni rast. Glavni cilj diplomskog rada je usmjeren na analizu procesa globalizacije i položaj Kine u suvremenoj globalnoj ekonomiji. Kroz statističku analizu pokazatelja gospodarstva cilj je utvrditi veličini gospodarstva Kine u okvirima globalne ekonomije te prognozirati buduća kretanja. Na konkretnim primjerima cilj je utvrditi ovisnost pojedinih zemalja o gospodarstvu Kine.

Abstract (english)

With the arrival of the 21st century and the intensification of the globalization process, the world is becoming a global market without classical barriers for free trade in goods and services. Globalization has enabled the accelerated development of the economy and the integration of developed and less developed economies. Globalization trends have affected the whole world and it is not possible to participate in them. Some countries have managed to use the potential, provided by globalization for economic growth and development. One of these countries is China, which has implemented economic reforms and by opening up its economy has become an economy with leading results in the last few decades. Today, China has established itself as a global economic superpower that influences the movement of global flows of goods and services. In a short period of time, it became the second largest economy in the world and the leading exporter in terms of the value of goods and services. This enormous growth of the Chinese economy and market has brought certain problems with it. Namely, as a trading partner of a large number of countries, they became too dependent on China's economic activity, so this problem manifested itself on a global level. A slowdown in China's economy in the context of slowing trade and cross-border investment may have a significant impact on global growth. The main goal of the thesis is focused on the analysis of the globalization process and China's position in the modern global economy. Through statistical analysis of economic indicators, the goal is to determine the size of China's economy within the framework of the global economy and to forecast future trends. Using specific examples, the goal is to determine the dependence of individual countries on China's economy.
