Abstract

Globalizacija je dovela do stvaranja jedinstvenog tržišta i međuzavisnosti svih nacionalnih ekonomija. U načelu, smatra se kako su najčešće efekti djelovanja globalizacije pozitivni, ali je moguće identificirati i negativne efekte koji su uvelike posljedica karakteristika globalizacije. Upravo ona izaziva višestruko negativne učinke na druge zemlje jer nijedna država ne može ostati imuna na promjene u okruženju, neovisno o tome utječu li iste izravno na nju. Tako, primjerice, uslijed djelovanja uvjeta nesigurnosti i prelijevanja negativnih efekata s jednog tržišta na druga, dolazi do promjene u raspoloživim količinama i cijenama dobara što rezultira promjenama u kupovnoj moći potrošača, izmijenjenim preferencijama i mogućnostima, upitnoj kvaliteti proizvoda i usluga te brojnih psiholoških učinaka i sl. Ni tržište naftnih derivata nije imuno na globalna događanja. Krizni momenti, kao što su pandemija COVID-19 ili globalna financijska kriza, imaju utjecaj na pad cijena naftnih derivata na globalnoj razini koji je izravan odraz pada gospodarskih aktivnosti na svjetskoj razini. Odnosno, moguće je negativne efekte povezati sa zatvaranjem granica te obustavom poslovanja velikog broja poslovnih subjekata, a samim time i smanjenom potražnjom za naftnim derivatima. Postoje i krizni momenti slične tipologije, kao što je kriza prouzrokovana ratnim zbivanjima na području Ukrajine, koji vode smanjenju ponude na tržištu naftnih derivata, ali što za posljedicu ima suprotan efekt – izražen rast cijena naftnih derivata. U principu, bilo koja zdravstvena, sigurnosna ili financijska ugroženost, rezultira globalnom promjenom raspoloživih količina i promjenom tržišnih cijena radi poremećaja međunarodnih gospodarskih aktivnosti uslijed ometanog protoka roba i usluga, poslovne neaktivnosti, upitne likvidnosti poduzeća i ostalih neuobičajenih, a otežavajućih trgovačkih aktivnosti.

Abstract (english)

Globalization has led to the creation of a single market and the interdependence of all national economies. In principle, it is considered that the effects of globalization are mostly positive, but it is also possible to identify negative effects that are largely a consequence of the characteristics of globalization. It is precisely this that causes multiple negative effects on other countries because no country can remain immune to changes in the environment, regardless of whether they directly affect it. Thus, for example, due to the effects of conditions of uncertainty and the spillover of negative effects from one market to another, there is a change in the available quantities and prices of goods, which results in changes in the purchasing power of consumers, changed preferences and opportunities, questionable quality of products and services, and numerous psychological effects and Fig. The oil derivatives market is not immune to global events either. Crisis moments, such as the COVID-19 pandemic or the global financial crisis, have an impact on the drop in the prices of oil derivatives at the global level, which is a direct reflection of the drop in economic activity at the world level. That is, it is possible to connect the negative effects with the closing of borders and the suspension of operations of a large number of business entities, and thus with reduced demand for oil derivatives. There are also moments of crisis of a similar typology, such as the crisis caused by war events in the territory of Ukraine, which lead to a decrease in the supply on the oil derivatives market, but which has the opposite effect as a result - a marked increase in the prices of oil derivatives. In principle, any health, safety or financial threat results in a global change in available quantities and a change in market prices due to the disruption of international economic activities due to the disrupted flow of goods and services, business inactivity, questionable liquidity of companies and other unusual and aggravating commercial activities.
