Abstract

This Master's Thesis aims to examine how knowledge from the fields of IT Project Management, Agile methodology, and Scrum framework can be utilized and play a vital role in successfully delivering digital projects. Due to recent global events, we have seen a rapid and compelled digitalization during the last few years. Agile methods provide an efficient solution to software development when the market needs to place any version of the product regardless of its completion; in other words, software development and distribution need not be complete, but it must be functional to a degree that is acceptable to the end user and/or client. The goal of this thesis is to explain why Scrum is "the most popular Agile framework" and to present an example of a successful implementation of the Scrum framework at software development giant Adobe Inc., as well as the tools utilized to accomplish this objective.

Abstract (croatian)

Ovaj magistarski rad ima za cilj ispitati kako se znanje iz područja upravljanja IT projektima, agilnih metodologija i Scrum framework-a može iskoristiti i igrati vitalnu ulogu u uspješnoj realizaciji digitalnih projekata. Zbog nedavnih globalnih događaja, posljednjih nekoliko godina svjedočimo brzoj i prisilnoj digitalizaciji. Agilne metode pružaju učinkovito rješenje za razvoj softvera kada tržište treba plasirati bilo koju verziju proizvoda bez obzira na njegovu dovršenost; drugim riječima, razvoj i distribucija softvera ne moraju biti potpuni, ali moraju biti funkcionalni do stupnja koji je prihvatljiv krajnjem korisniku i/ili klijentu. Cilj ovog diplomskog rada je objasniti zašto je Scrum "najpopularniji Agilni framework" te prikazati primjer uspješne implementacije Scrum framework-a u softverskom razvojnom divu Adobe Inc., kao i alate koji se koriste za postizanje tog cilja.
