Abstract

The subject of research in this thesis is acquisitions or takeovers of companies and analysis of growth strategies. In this paper, takeovers or acquisitions, as well as strategies are explained on a practical example of a global corporation. The process itself begins long before the moment of the purchase or merger itself, with the selection of the acquisition, and through the phases of the acquisition process, measuring and monitoring the results of the acquisition. The internationalization of business becomes a condition for the survival of companies regardless of their size and country of origin. However, due to changes in the factors of international business, classic forms of business relationships no longer correspond to newly created opportunities. This paper will explore how the Walt Disney company participated in the acquisition and expanded on a global level.

Abstract (croatian)

Predmet istraživanja u ovom diplomskom radu su akvizicije ili preuzimanja poduzeća i analiza strategija rasta. U ovom radu su preuzimanja ili akvizicije te strategije objašnjene kroz praktičan primjer globalne korporacije. Proces preuzimanja počinje puno prije trenutka kupnje ili spajanja, odabirom akvizicije, te kroz faze procesa akvizicije, mjerenjem i praćenjem rezultata akvizicije. Internacionalizacija poslovanja postaje uvjet opstanka poduzeća bez obzira na njihovu veličinu i zemlju porijekla. Međutim, zbog promjena čimbenika međunarodnog poslovanja, klasični oblici poslovnih odnosa više ne odgovaraju novonastalim prilikama. U ovom radu istražit će se kako je kompanija Walt Disney sudjelovala u akviziciji i proširila se na globalnoj razini.
