Abstract

Južna Koreja je 3. 4. 2019. spojila prve korisnike na 5G mrežu čime je počelo razdoblje pete
generacije širokopojasne mobilne mreže. Iako je toga datuma na mrežu spojeno svega 40 000
korisnika, rapidni razvoj infrastrukture omogućio je da danas 5G mrežu koristi preko 2
milijarde korisnika. Kako je 5G preduvjet za rad novih tehnologija i tehnoloških platformi kao
što su Internet stvari (IoT) i umjetna inteligencija, predviđa se da će ona pokrenuti novu
industrijsku revoluciju. Cilj ovog diplomskog rada je detaljno analizirati utjecaj 5G-a na
dvanaest odabranih djelatnosti i utvrditi na koji način te u kojoj će mjeri 5G
revolucionarizirati navedene. Pritom se koristi metoda analize i deskriptivna metoda kojom se
detaljno objašnjavaju prikupljeni podaci. Rezultati ukazuju na povećanje produktivnosti i
smanjenju troškova poslovanja kroz digitalizaciju i robotizaciju poslovnih procesa s jedne
strane te povećanje koristi za krajnjeg korisnika s druge u gotovo svim djelatnostima.
Zaključak je da unatoč izazovnom razdoblju u kojem se nalazi gospodarstvo, na 5G ne treba
gledati kao na prijetnju već kao na temelj rasta i razvoja svjetskog gospodarstva

Abstract (english)

South Korea is 3.4.2019. connected the first users to the 5G network, which began the period
of the fifth generation of broadband mobile networks. Although only 40,000 users are
connected to the network according to that data, the rapid development of the infrastructure
has made it possible for more than 2 billion users to use the 5G network today. As 5G is a
prerequisite for the operation of new technologies and technological platforms such as the
Internet of Things and artificial intelligence, it is predicted that it will start a new industrial
revolution. The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze in detail the impact of 5G on twelve
selected activities and to determine in what way and to what extent 5G will revolutionize the
aforementioned. An analysis method and a descriptive method are used to explain the
collected data in detail. The results indicate an increase in productivity and a reduction in
business costs through digitization and robotization of business processes on the one hand,
and an increase in end user benefits on the other in almost all industries. The conclusion is
that despite the challenging period in which the economy finds itself, 5G should not be seen
as a threat but as a basis for the growth and development of the world economy.
