Abstract

U današnjem, suvremenom svijetu čini se kako uvijek nedostaje vremena. U studentskom svijetu vrijeme je od posebne važnosti. Studenti moraju izdvojiti dovoljno vremena za ispuniti sve fakultetske obaveze, a uz sve privatne obaveze, hobije, želju za društvenim životom i odmorom, ponekad je vrlo teško, skoro i nemoguće ga pronaći. Moglo bi se reći kako su vještine upravljanja vremenom vrlo važne za studente. Cilj istraživanja bio je istražiti postoji li povezanost između vještina upravljanja vremenom i akademskog uspjeha studenata. Empirijsko istraživanje povezanosti vještina upravljanja vremenom i akademske uspješnosti studenata provedeno je na uzorku od 82 studenta Ekonomskog fakulteta u Zagrebu metodom anketnog upitnika. Empirijsko istraživanje je pokazalo kako postoji pozitivna povezanost između aktivnosti planiranja vremena i prosjeka ocjena te korištenih praksi za upravljanje vremenom i prosjeka ocjena. Pronađena je i negativna povezanost između aktivnosti gubljenja vremena i prosjeka ocjena. Na temelju rezultata provedenog istraživanja može se zaključiti kako su vještine upravljanja vremenom povezane s akademskim uspjehom studenata.

Abstract (english)

In today's modern world, it seems that there is always a shortage of time. In the student world, time is of particular importance. Students have to take enough time to fulfill all university obligations, and with all private obligations, hobbies, the desire for a social life and rest, it is sometimes very difficult, almost impossible to find it. It could be said that time management skills are very importanat for students. The aim of the study was to investigate whether there is a correlation between time management skills and students' academic performance. Empirical research on the relationship between time management skills and academic performance of students was conducted on a sample of 82 students of the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb using a survey questionnaire. Empirical research has shown that there is a positive relationship between time planning activities and students' grade point average, as well as time management practices and students' grade point average. A negative correlation was also found between time-wasting activities and students' grade point average. Based on the results, it can be concluded that time management skills are related to the academic success of students.
